Full Metal Daemon Muramasa

Full Metal Daemon Muramasa

In the first half of 20th century, Rokuhara Shogunate rules Japan with an iron fist of robotic suits of armor called Tsurugi, while the West wants to turn Japan into another military base. A policeman called Kageaki Minato arrives into a city of Kamakura to solve various different cases involving Tsurugi users (or Mushas), and when all other means are proven useless, defeats them with a skillful use of his own Tsurugi, the bloody red Muramasa. But he doesn’t do that out of justice. He only wants to atone for his past sins and to defeat the most powerful Musha, one known as the Silver Star.

“The devil I shall meet, the devil I shall cut. The saint I shall meet, the saint I shall cut.”

This is the phrase that Kageaki says when fusing with Muramasa, and this is the phrase that tells both his past and his future…

“Good and evil balance out each other.”

“This is not a hero’s story. Those who aspire to become heroes are not needed.”

  1. The sense of morality that the author expresses in this VN is profoundly WARPED. It was an interesting read, with interesting philosophy, but in the end they miss the mark. Kind of fitting in a way. I recommend this, but don’t expect any truth from it, merely an interesting theory and despair. (Yes, I know I sound like some dumb edgy kid, but if you read through FullMetal Daemon I think you’ll agree.)

    1. Yes, actually the protagonist is a bad guy yearning for salvation, but after failed to do so, he become a real bad guy, and that makes me really relieved. its philosophy is really orient actually.

    2. you should never expect the truth from fiction, philosophy or other such things, cause if you do, you missed the mark. it’s always the author’s thoughts and personal opinions on something.

    1. This is only with like 15 minutes of investigation but it seems by default that DLL is from XAudio2
The 2.8 version which only supports Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 (supposedly)
It seems like the 2.9 version might support Windows 7
Still trying to confirm it though, since there doesn’t seem to be an easy download for this.

      1. Overall it would seem that the program requests 2.8 specifically so installing 2.9 isn’t going to solve anything
You can try to install the compatibility version from
CWTesseract / win7fix on GitHub but I just got a different error after installing those DLLs
I think I’ll just give up on this one, I wasn’t that interested to begin with and it always leaves a sour taste to have installation problems..

        1. Hmm, it’s not as simple as just transferring the .dll files to the installation folder, right? Gonna try out more stuffs with your method hopefully soon.

  2. NGL torn on whether or not I wanna play this, on one hand, this sounds super interesting and from what ive read the deeper meanings of the story really resonate. On the other hand, Im a depressed fuck and it sounds like this would not help there lol. I’ve read the game has a lot of depressing endings, how depressing is the true ending?

  3. Wow, I used to didn’t think this would really get translated because of the high Japanese proficiency. My respect for JAST has gone up and thanks as always Admin!

  4. Always nice to see nitro plus VNs get translated. They’re grim but much more gripping than usual soulless cookie cutter high school BS.

    1. I mean, I feel you about most localized VNs being high school BS, but goddamn that is a lot of rape tags. Can’t we ever get a ‘middle of the road’ type VN? Why’s everything in English gotta be either vanilla AF or rapefest? :/

      1. Fair point. tbh I didn’t even pay attenton to tags cause they I don’t care about H-scenes and skip most. I just enjoy good storytelling and player agency, but yeah… quite a few rape tags xD

    2. Better get used to because alot of these devs are moving on to make mobages just as “soulless” as the VNs you hate.
