Hey, I had a major headache with this problem and finally discovered the issue/solution. Windows 8 and later DO NOT support 16 bit color schemes natively, and when a program opens it attempts to use the native settings. To get around this, right-click your seinarukana program, select properties -> compatability mode, and select 16-bit color in the “reduced color mode” drop-down. Please if anyone sees this and knows a more visible place to post the solution, do so (or let me know), this is a wonderful game and I hate to have it unplayable for some folks.
By the way, erogedownload is fantastic but please go buy the game if you can, we need to tell jast to localize more games like this.
A bit of an amendment on this: select “8 bit” first, which will force the program to open in fullscreen. When you get to the title screen, if you want to run it in windowed, exit and select “16 bit”. When you restart it will be fullscreen, but having 16 bit selected will allow you to put it into windowed mode once you get to the in-game menu. It’s a bit of a workaround, but its the only way I’ve found that works. After that, make sure you set it to full screen every time before you close the program.

Anyone have a link to boss strats? I do fine in normal stages but the bosses keep destroying me with their ridiculous unblockable all target magics that apparently have no defense against.

Some characters have a high magic resist defense ability that affects all characters (Immunity/Mind Shield, etc). Monitor the boss’s combat mana, and when they have enough mana to cast their party-busters, have that character be your defender. The same strategy works for all-target physical skills. For certain skills that are “triggered” you can use a character with an anti-interrupt skill to safely trigger it or prevent it from triggering for support and attack roles respectively.
Your other alternative is to have a character with very high magic resist and a good defense skill be an all-rounder and try to burst the boss down. White units work well for this (and a [u]certain blue unit[/u] you get later in the game is an absolutely broken character in all-rounder mode-unnamed due to spoilers for anyone who played Aselia).
Try Satsuki’s Energy Leak and Ruputna/Thalia’s Icicle Arrow to cancel boss magic
Unfortunately most boss magic has the unbanishable property or are too high for energyleak (icicle arrow is great though), which is what I assumed they meant by non-blockable. So far I just kinda go into boss fights expecting to die the first time until I work out their patterns.
If you are talking about the first boss D something, his aoe skill only triggers when you cast support skills. Meaning, only put people with anti banish support skills in the support slot when fighting. ALl your damage has to come from the dual wielder in the attack slot, and the green defender blocks the boss hits in the middle.
You generally won’t be able to absorb all the hits on one defending character, so you have to rotate, and dps the boss down before he kills your party. I usually start with Inspire I for the support slot skill at the beginning of the fight to up damage. The Lightning and other boss skills also use mana, so you can tell when they are about to cast it by the mana bars they have.
The boss fights are pretty similar to Eien no Aselia. You just do more in party switching of skills and slots more. There would be fights in the first game that you had to use 3 different groups of heroes to take down the boss, because the aoe damage was so high you didn’t have time to heal, just keep rotating through your parties until they burn out and or kill the enemy. Usually dragons.
Great vn. But one question I have is that during combat, can you switch skills after you begin? I think I did it once but when I try again when its like, turn 4 ect then I cant do it anymore. It would make sense that you can only modify skills pre-battle but some of the tutorial hints say that “encounter skills that activate only before battle is useless after battle so its best to switch afterwards”.
Bottom line is, im confused.
Also one more question. In the campaign, does the number of turns you take to complete a battle effect the story? Thanks
yes, for the rewards and some event´s , but that`s mor important in games afther first clear game
Only all-rounders can change skill any turn , the rest can´t change skills in the battle. If i remember rigth from the psp version, some divine skill can be changed afther 3 or 4 turns

I actually just redid the first battle to see if it mattered and thought that the number of turns didnt matter in how things ended up since nothing changed despite getting S rank instead of my original B rank other than an extra reward at the end. Glad to know that it did matter in at least some events otherwise I would’ve just taken as long as i wanted without knowing

Been playing for a while, and it’s pretty good, but I haven’t found any kind of guide anywhere. Mainly I’m interested in the S Rank requirements more than strats. I hate replaying the same mission 10 times trying to figure out what gets the max rank/reward. The game has been out for years in japan, anyone know of any S rank guides?

Yeah, that’s about as good a source as you will find since the game just got released overseas (and by far most people don’t tend to play hybrid VN’s unless they are at least partially translated, due to the need to understand how the interface and gameplay works). I’m sure if the Steam version had released already we’d had at least a rough English guide in the works (Apparently Steam will release Aselia the Eternal this week and wait to release Seinarukana on September).
S and SS rank requirement is pretty simple, but not really easy. Defeat all the enemies spawned, with total time below a certain threshold for each map(IP 500 on the first map), and take as little damage as possible, preferebly zero.

Holy crap that download site is awful. I’ve literally had failed downloads 11 times with it at random times during the download that all seem to hinge towards the latter end of the 30-50kb/s download.
Tied into what I can only assume is a two item at a time download limit. I’ve been trying to download this game for 3 days and still haven’t gotten through it all yet.
Yeah it is, but the Admin use it because he has a extremely large quantity of downloads per day and other sites end erasing his files or his account because of that.
It makes a while but I remember someone saying that once he did try mega and mediafile the first erased his files and the second his account or something like that.

Over the easter break, I paid for a one week subscription. I then proceeded to download nearly half a terabyte of visual novels, around 300 titles – most of the novels on the site.
Considering it cost less than 10 dollars, compared to a single visual novel costing 30-80 dollars, I would say that it was more than worth it. (Even if I’ve only read through one so far)!
(Premium gives 6 parallel downloads, at around 200kb/s per one. For me, usually I downloaded a single file at a time at around 0.8 – 2 mb/s.

I still don’t see the constant outcry for the Aselia 18+ release from some fans. Have you guys seen the HCG? The Evil Route itself was basically a stupid excuse for horrible rape scenes (and had most of the H scenes) and the non-rape ones were completely unnecesary as a whole. Personally I always thought games that aren’t focused on romance as much shouldn’t even have need of blatant sex scenes (implied sex is more than sufficient). There’s other types of VN’s more appropiate for fap material after all.

Exactly. I don’t care about H scenes but they removed the interesting possibility for the main hero to fall into darkness and “start the dark path”. I feel like the game is not whole without the dark route.
The thing is, the original adult version actually has far less content overall. There are several routes that were added for the PS2 release(from a fandisk expansion), which is the version they ported and translated to english. The combat system was also revised and overall game was polished a bit more. Do I wish there was a patch to add in all the stuff removed? Sure… but I’m not going to gripe about what version they chose to translate. It’s a great game either way.
I think the complaints came from they also released another pc version after the ps2 version with all the 18+ stuff added back in plus the ps2 content, after that they then released the all ages version which was the same as the ps2 version for the pc, been a while so I’m not sure if I’m remembering right. If not for this I’m sure jast would have outright said no about the possibility of adding a patch to the upcoming steam version
Actually you are quite correct, they indeed released an uncut PC version of the PS2 version with H scenes for the new routes (but without the Evil route).
There is one huge reason none of the fantranslators and not even JAST wanted to touch the Uncut version of Aselia though. It has plenty of loli (off the top of my head there’s a rape scene featuring Kotori, a scene with the hero’s sister and of course, there’s Orpha’s route… and all the minor spirits get their scenes so even the underage ones get their turn). The original english translation of Aselia was fanmade and said translator loudly and clearly said he chose the PS2 version because he wasn’t going to touch loli material. JAST merely took the existing translation, edited it and then released it. Sure, they have become more daring in the years after that, but I still doubt they’d risk releasing a product with so much “underage” material just to please a few people.
Also, the Evil Route was poorly done honestly. It had potential but you can literally get the same storyline from that route in any nukige in existence.
All valid points, except for the additional routes. I don’t think many people will finish all of them, it includes lots of grinding, after all. I know several people who finished just 1-3 routes and then stopped playing because it became boring.

It’s 18+, the Non-H version hasn’t been released yet as far as I know (Steam will release it on September aparently, and I hear JAST offers free keys for the Steam version to everyone who buys the physical Release of the 18+ version).

I’ve failed at Drav for like 2 hours, I’m either terrible or just not doing it right. Would it be possible to get any kind of tips to what I should be doing differently? I’ve so far tried every character I had possible..
for me, i use nozomu to defend (aura shield 2), katima support (terror 1) and finally sol attack (heaven eruption 1)..also nozomu can heal party using celestial ally…hopes this help
For me I used Nozomu as attacker Nozomi as defender and Katina as supporter. At first I made Nozomu use Inspire and then changed him to attacker. Then I used Cross Divider for Nozomu, Devoted Block for Nozomi and Terror for Katina. Keep an eye on Drav’s skill and use appropiate ones. Nozomu’s Cross Divider and Nozomi’s Devoted Block is the best bet for this battle.
What abilities would that be, if I may ask? I might just not have paid good enough attention.. but I’d rather not go back to replay the parts before just yet if I can get through it with an explanation here, if it’s not too much to ask.
People, im beginning to believe that this game would be impossible to play.
Im playing right now the First Mission, where you met for the first time Katima, and they told me to retake Azuleir. So far so good.
But the point is, THE SUPPORTER OF THAT BASE( the eyeless unit ) KEEPS DESTROYING ME!!!
She summons some rain of fire and she destroys me( my party take about 500-600 damage per attack !!!! ).
According to the game´s manual, BLUE banish RED. But when I put Satsuki at the supporter´s role to banish this eyeless red unit attack, I continue to receive the rain of fire!
Can someone tell me how can I pass through this simple yet deadly mission?
And most important, how can I upgrade my skill´s level? Because I´ve discovered that you can \reinforce\ your units at your captured strongholds, but only your attack, defense, magic resistance and your character level… But not your skills level!!
And I think that´s the problem, because Satsuki Ice Banish right now affects \Target Skill Level 3\, and the red unit stationed at Azuleir says \Skill Level 4\.
Can someone help me? Thanks in advance. This answer could help other players because there´s no walkthrough out there.

Are you using a cheat to freeze game time? If so, disable it until the next event triggers. If not, try approaching the ziggurat thing.

His fucking skills are insane!! Someone wrote here some tips to defeat him, but for example they mentioned some skills that I dont know them, like aura shield 2 for example.
Please, he´s almost invincible with his 6900 hp and his crazy-like skills!
You got skill by collecting eternal relic either by beating minion or capture base..in early chapter only a few minion give the relic but at the end game almost all minion give relic.
Also try to get ss or s rank because they give better relic as reward (i.e. better skill)
i think Aura Shield 2 reward from SS rank (or S rank i think) on the first mission of chapter 3.
i forgot, for ss rank you need 2 make sure that none of your character dies, IT value doesnt exceed the limit for the chapter(use sand of time to speed up party IP), while enemy unit defeated and base capture are high..
a bit of cheat tips, you can use cheat engine to change the bound mana value and the IT value to make more easy for ss rank
you may begin with inspire I by nozomu, after that is Belife by nozomi, and use Terror for Darv’s interrupt skill. remember do not let darv’s mana get 5, and lv charracter need 5 or above.

For ch 3 boss use combination of Jatzieta attack(Voltic beast) Nozomi defence(Devoted block) and Ruptuna support(Ice Icicle) not the alpha one. Also play in Defencive mode. Keep an eye on the enemy as he sometimes uses Stampede.

Example: i’m current playing chapter 3-1 and i clear this map at 690, i have 2 save file all clear this map at 690 and kill all enemy why the it have different result(1 S and 1 SS). can anyone answer me this tks.
I think it also counts if any of your units have fallen in battle

One True End? Who’s route?
I guess Narukana’s route would be the True Route, I just finished it and the ending and such seem to qualify. Also, like what happened with Aselia in Eien no Aselia, her name is the damn title of the game.
To have the chance to get into Narukana’s route, you have to beat the game once (I think any route will do, I did Satsuki’s first) and in the subsequent playthroughs, in the scene where she first appears (not counting flashbacks), a new choice selection will pop up. If you pick the right one, you’ll be LOCKED into her route no matter what you’ve done before that point (or so I’ve heard).
Sorry, small correction. It may not be exactly in her first scene, but in the second one. I got confused because both scenes happen in the same place and are basically about the same thing. Anyway, both appear in the same interval between battles, so you can’t miss it.
..With all the combat in this game, getting through all the routes is gonna be troublesome.. so far done Nozomi and currently doing Satsuki..I’d be done sooner as I finished Nozomi’s like 3 days ago or so? but some of the maps are so tiring ._. Like ..I dont remember the name of the map but the one with subaru and shou.. Would you happen to know how to get Naya & Ruputna? Since there are no walkthroughs on it I have no real idea how to actually get those.
As far as I know, you get (invisible) affection points with the heroines by:
1. Choosing options that will make you spend time with her in the VN sections. If you don’t have the girl you want in your party yet, try to mix things up until then (this point is actually not THAT critical anyway).
2. Use Nozomu and the chosen girl together in battle. Again, if you don’t have the girl yet, better to use Nozomu either as an All-Rounder or together with characters that don’t have a route, like Thalia.
3. Defeat the “heart” units with Nozomu and the chosen girl.
4. Getting the girl to be the MVP while in Nozomu’s squad.
Don’t know if I’m missing anything, but yeah, since Ruputna and Naya are the ones that join later, you should be more careful about how you play until you get them.
The gameplay sections sure make doing all routes troublesome, I also dread the Chapter 5 missions the most (the ones with Subaru and Shou), you can either keep playing on normal to make it easier, or try the harder modes to make it more interesting, but keep in mind that your characters will keep the level and skills from the previous playthrough, and you’ll carry over your mana as well, so try to be ready.

This is damn near impossible to download. The ninja ad is basically a major F-U. Can I get a link to the actual game or something? I usually buy these things anyway, I just like to see if I would enjoy it. As it is, this site is just becoming a database for things I want to collect, cus the downloads are just terrible <_<
I can’t download even a single part myself. It throws up an ad, immediately minimizes the ad, and from then on does….SOMETHING to the download button, making it so that all subsequent clicks of it just makes a new window of the download screen pop up, which also doesn’t work. Even if I’m fast enough to close out the ad it does this to me, to the point I’m worried about downloading anything else from this site. I’d appreciate a way to avoid this or better yet remove this problem altogether so that I can go back to enjoying what the Admin posts here.
