For me, my issue is that parts one and two are saying that the files are broken. Originally, part one was not “broken” but I accidently deleted the unpacked version and now when I unpack part one again (and download it and unpack it… and try four times… downloading it for fifth time right now) it says that the “file is broken”. I am also using 7zip. It is really annoying.
When I try to extract part 2 it says the file is broken, its the only part to have this problem. didn’t have a problem with parts 1 or 3 or the English patch just part 2

You can either play the game in window mode (by default) or in fullscreen. Just go into the options and change it from windowed to fullscreen and you should be good.

I guess you could try but I 99.99% guarantee you that you can not use the game on your phone.
If you download the file from this website, you get a .exe application, which can’t be run by a mobile OS, which only runs .apk applications. However, you CAN run it on your phone, if you get an emulator app that either runs a desktop OS on your phone (you can run a reeeaaallly old one like windows 95, which is less intensive than the default OS on even a low-end smartphone, and this game will run perfectly fine. It’s a very simple game.), or run .exe programs. These aren’t hard to come by, but can be a pain to use, as you are basically forcing your phone to run a program built for a larger machine, so it might have a problem with the file sizes and image scaling, especially the interface. To those wondering how to make extracting the free files work, the uploader kind of messed up a bit. In short, only the first file in a several part rar file should have the extension ‘rar’. So to save an essay on why and how this is…
Change the filenames and extensions as follows:
MonsterGirlQuest.part1.rar > MonsterGirlQuest.rar
MonsterGirlQuest.part2.rar > MonsterGirlQuest.r00
MonsterGirlQuest.part3.rar > MonsterGirlQuest.r01
Note the names on all three files needs to be the exact same, while the extention needs to change. MAKE SURE TO CHANGE THE EXTENTION AS WELL! Extract -only- the first file (Which is now names MonsterGirlQuest.rar) and the other two will be referanced during it’s extraction. No need to extract them separately, just have them in the same folder.
As for the english patch? Extract to a new folder, copy everything, paste into install directory, and overwrite all. Simple as that
I tried this, but the game’s proportionate is not right.
I tried this and kept getting an error. I kept looking though since no one responded to my questions. I saw a previous post a few pages into the Older Comments that said to select all 3 files and open them. I gave it a try and it worked. Just having them in the same folder wasn’t enough. I had to highlight all 3 files together then I right-clicked and selected Open.
I hope this helps someone since it is so hard to get anyone to respond on here.
I tried this method and it works for me.
Download all three parts:
Rename Part 1 to MonsterGirlQuest.rar
Rename Part 2 to MonsterGirlQuest.r00
Rename Part 3 to MonsterGirlQuest.r01
extract .rar only, it will do the rest automatically and put them all in the same folder. Then extract the english patch into its own separate folder; and copy and paste the patch files into the game directory and Replace All when prompted.
launch the .exe and it should work; it did for me.

Even going to full screen doesn’t allow me to view the whole game screen, if that makes sense. Basically a portion of my game is getting cut off. I have my location set to Japan.
I have my language set to Japanese.
I have rebooted my computer several times.
I have downloaded the files several times.
I have renamed them to have the file extensions .rar .r00 .r01

I have re-downloaded in case the files are damaged.
I have 150G of space on the drive so I doubt I am out of space.

Not sure why you’re getting the problem, as mine works perfectly. I’ll tell you exactly what I did, maybe I did something differently in installation that’ll fix yours?
1: install the files (duh)
2: open winrar and select the three game files (excluding the patch), and extract them to some folder in your computer. (note: I did not rename any of these files before extraction, and they seemed to have merged correctly), then make a copy of this folder (for convenience, in case the next steps go wrong and you have to start over)
3: extract the patch file to a different folder (for now)
4: copy the patch files into the game folder and click on “replace all” when the dialogue pops up
5: run the “mon_que” exe
6: have fun!
Note: I am running on Windows 10, and I didn’t change my location or language settings on my computer either.

I have downloaded the first part multiple times but when I try to unzip it, the winzip program asks me to find it in my folder and it won’t show up in the downloads folder. Again, I can see it in my downloads, but when I try to unzip it, the program can’t find it.

A little help here. When I try to run the game, it runs perfectly. However after installing the english patch, any menu I select from the main menu results in a crash.

Take the three files and put them in their own folder. Highlight all three files, right click, and select “extract here”.
Next if you want the English patch, take the English patch file and extract it to its own folder. Then highlight all the files from the English patch you extracted and put them into the MonsterGirlQuest folder that was created when you extracted the game originally. You should be prompted that a file already exists with that name and you should allow the new files to replace the ones with the same name.
That was all I did and it worked just fine for me. I have Windows 10 with my location still set to USA with English as the only language.
If you are still having issues try setting your location to Japan and Language on your computer to Japanese.
Or you can try using microsoft AppLocale. it might help without the need to change unicode setting.

Click free download and go to each of the three links to get parts 1, 2, and 3 of the game. On each link website you should see “paddle” and “free”. Click free and enter the captcha. There will be a two minuet wait time before you can click download, and then another 6 minuets between each download.
So I have all the files extracted, and the English patch works, but the launcher only plays part 1. I played through the entirety of it, but there is no option to continue on to the second part and no other launchers.
I found my mistake, all the parts work just fine. The free download came in parts, but that was only for the first game. I just needed to download the parts for game 2

It’s that way with almost every game on the website, what I do to have less waiting time is that once it’s 4 minutes before the download finishes, I open the next one in advance and solve the captcha then, while the 120 seconds for me to be able to download pass I must be close to finish my previous file download already
So, exactly when the first file finishes, I click on the second one, that way you don’t have to wait EXTRA minutes, just the downloading time that you get per file (I usually get 15 minutes per 200 mb file as my internet goes) , as you can only download one file at a time

This has got to one of the most useless Download Sites I have ever come across, because I type in the Captcha, wait 120 Seconds, Download the File and it wont let me open it as for some stupid reason it opens in Internet Explorer, which simply just closes it instantly each time I try to open it and I have tried to Extract the Files but it says there are no Files to Extract.
this is probably you havent unpacked the files yet. you will need program to do that (such as 7zip or winzip) before you can use the files
All three parts together is an awesome story and although the download takes some time to get it done if you dont wanna pay it´s fairly fast done in about 1-2 hours i would which is totally worth the time.

I don’t have enough room on my phone for part 3 of monster girl quest but i have enough for the other parts, and i’ll be able to get a couple of the full patch mods for it as well, so that’s good enough for me. A very fun game played all the parts multiple times in a row. Monster girl quest fan for life.
What phone app do you use to run your VNs?
Onscripter. I’ll be honest, in that the phone version sucks, but it works for…well….Tsukihime, Higurashi, Umineko, and monster girl quest.
The only real reason to check these games out, for me at least, is to see the origins of the printed Monster Girl Encyclopedia books.

I always loved this game and want to play it, but I have a Mac. Anyone knows if’s this is compatible on Mac? If so, how?
Yes it is… sort of.
I have been able to get it to mostly work in Wine. Video playback for a few special techniques doesn’t work, so those special effects just get skipped. But other than that, yes. It works in Wine.
I think I had to use winetricks to grab some native libraries, but it’s been so long that I can’t remember which ones unfortunately. Look up ‘nscripter winetricks’ or something and see what you get; MGQ uses NScripter so you should find some advice/tips. With that out of the way, I have played the entire game start to finish in Wine.
This is on Intel machines, at least. For newer Mac OS I think you might need to wait for wine to get support for 32-bit-on-64-bit, or else buy PlayOnMac.
Alternately, it ALMOST works in Onscripter… I think there’s an upscaled version that might work great in onscripter. Onscripter is open source, so it can be built natively for M1 macs. I don’t know if anyone has a ready-to-run download available for it though.
P.S.: I had to set the environment variable LC_ALL=ja_JP.UTF-8 to get it to run in a Japanese locale in wine. Otherwise I got the same errors people playing with the wrong locale were getting in Windows.
I just finished this appalling game, and even though I know it’s just episode 1, it’ll be the only one for me as I’m not about to put myself thru such torture again.
Ok I admit it’s not total garbage and the idea of a boy on the quest to become a hero with a funny monster girl as traveling companion is fine and all.
But most battles are horrendously cheap and unfair, and you can lose by the stupidest reasons. A few hours into the game I decided I hated it and resorted to a guide just to get it over with, and even with that there’s times where I had to try 11 F@cking times just to beat one monster due to the retarded scripted battles.

I think you missed the whole point of the game then! All the “scenes” come from when you “lose.” Many monsters have multiple scenes available and the ‘ending’ changes based on how you died to them. Making the fights hard and gimicky is a way to help you explore all the content that you’d otherwise miss.
