      1. i went into my control panel, then clock, language, and region into the change language and switched it from canada to japan but it still comes up saying syntax error every time i try to run it, can you help?

        1. well, if u changed it you can try *right click* on the game, and click on “Japanese Locale”. A message will appear and you can go and click ok to start the game.

          1. hmmm, i have exactly the same problem, first time i see it, i think the game is corrupted, but the dl site isn’t very good so i pass to re dl it, too bad.

  5. So, I’m having a slight problem. I can’t seem to extract the English patch install.bat file. Everything else in the patch archive extracts just fine – I don’t even get an error message about the .bat file. It simply doesn’t extract. If I try to single out the .bat file for extraction, I get an error message saying there are no files to extract, so it seems to be treating it as if it’s not even there. I’m on windows 7 64, using winRAR, and have my locale set to Japanese.

  12. Seems like the sequel to this thing is already out. Okasare Yuusha II ~Yuusha na no ni, Chinchin wo Pikupiku Sarete Bakari no Boku…~ VNDB lists a British publisher, too~ Perhaps we’ll be seeing it soon?

    1. Dargoth (the guy who translated the first one) is apparently already working on it and has released a beginning patch for it. The game seems to have many more h-scenes (49?) and about twice as much script as the last one not including the images that need the use of photoshop to translate into english.

  14. guys what does only bad endings mean here?? is it like comedic bad ending or genuine bad ending like every1 dies??

    1. It’s a bad ending in the sense that even when the hero wins he loses.

      As for your comment on a genuine bad ending where everyone dies, those rarely happen in eroge that have been translated and when they do the possibility of such a thing is alluded to in the game’s summary or prologue.

  21. Holy crap thats horrible, you either rise to becaome a great hero (after having beaten up a lot of Females, in my book thats bad) or you die from being raped (also bad in my book). Why would you play this game? It’s so horrible it’s hillarious. (thats just my assumtion from the description)

    1. Actually there aren’t any good endings AT ALL. There isn’t an ending where you become a great hero, you fail in all three.

      Btw, you don’t defeat women, you defeat the most human-looking monsters for that one end. With one exception there aren’t any women in the game. All but one are evil anyway.

    2. sorry to say i like these kinds of games 😛 Monster Girl Quest is probably my fav. h-game. now i want more. If this game is anything like that, then it’s definitely worth looking into :P. then again i don’t really have much of a taste for bondage. My first H-Game was bible black, kinda learned how much i hated it then..admittedly though I still got all the endings XD.

  28. When I extracted the files I had to manually move them singly from the Zip Window into a folder. As a result I don’t know which files go in which folder. Which files go into the Plugin folder and which stay in the default ViolatedHero folder next to the Plugin Folder?

  32. Well i like this game so bad that i went and search for the second game. while i was searching for it i came across an Eng patch for part 2! I downloaded it as fast as posible… BUT when i play the game it was only about 0.3% had been translated. Still the second is nice though. I have to say it: I LOVE THIS GAME ^^

    1. Same here, I’d love some help.

      I’ve done the easy installation and I tried the manual one, however the kiririki or whatever file does work for me. I repeatedly extracted the files and attempted different things and I also changed my computer’s location to Japan. Nothing worked.
      I’ve tried playing without and with the english patch.
      Etc.
      Any idea on what I’m supposed to do?
      For me and all the others (I can see from the comments there are lots of other people) with this issue?

    These posts have been confusing me, some mention language, others location… D:<
    I tried setting my location to Japan and it didn't work, but I don't want to try setting my language to Japanese… I won't be able to set it back to English… I don't think… -.-

  44. I figured it out! And here’s a detailed explanation on how I did it for those of you who are having troubles!
    So, here’s what I did.
    First, before downloading the game I changed my computer’s locale to Japanese and location just in case (not language, thank god that confusion is over), which can be done in the control panel (obviously).
    Next, I… downloaded all the game’s parts then extracted once all the parts were downloaded with winRAR.
    I then downloaded the English patch and brought out the stuff inside the English patch folders and put them in with the ViolatedHero archive. The patch didn’t work for shit.
    I tried the kiririki thing and that didn’t work for shit either. It didn’t even open.
    I finally realized that all I had to do was separate the English patch stuff again, then open up the ViolatedHero archive.
    After they were both opened, I read what folders the English patch had and the contents.
    In the English patch, you’re given all the updated contents for the image folder and the scenario folder and a few updated contents from the system folder.
    The image folder contains a folder called \battle\ and a folder called \config\, so I went into the ViolatedHero -> data folder of ViolatedHero and dragged these two folders (battle and config), but not the entire updated image folder, into the existing image folder. It then asked me if I wanted to replace the existing battle and config folders, and I said move and replace to all.
    Now you have an empty image folder from the English patch.
    The next folder from the English patch is the scenario folder.
    After looking in the contents, I saw that the files were the same as the folder from ViolatedHero -> data -> scenario.
    Seeing as everything inside them was the same, I simply dragged the scenario folder over the existing (important) ->DATA data -> system and carefully dragged the three files inside the system folder into it, replacing each of the three, but no more. Make sure you don’t replace the entire system folder and that you only replace the three files \historylayer.tjs\, \mainwindow.tjs\, and \messagelayer.tjs\.
    After manually replacing all of these files, you should be able to run the game in English if you still have your computer on Japanese locale.
    For those of you who read and understood this poorly explained tutorial and managed to get the game to work with it, you’re welcome. 🙂

  45. How to play the game (for me):he
    1. Download the game (w/ english patch)
    2. Unrar dat shit
    3. Unrar dat patch
    4. Go to control panel
    5. Go to Region
    6. In Administrative, go to locale
    7. Change locale to Japanese (also the location just in case)
    8. Restart the computer (if needed/prompted to do so)
    9. Go to dat folder
    10. Run dat application (the game, for any dumbass out there that doesn’t get it).
    11. Enjoy dat shit
