Actually, a lot of animes are based of visual novel games – due to the format of those, screenplay/script is basically ready to animate, and game’s popularity already introduces fans to upcoming project, resulting in higher potential revenue.

if you checked the wkipedia page yes, there are for other systems but this website to my knoledge hosts pcvisual novels, if i were you i would either wait for the english release or torrent the game for your console. and get crackin for homebrew
on a side note almost all computers can run visual novels, since they require little system resources,my fav higurashi requires 16 or 32 megs of vram to run

I’m not sure If i ‘m the only one with this issue but i figured I would point this out. When I try to enter the Glossary for “Steins;Gate” the game just closes itself. Not sure if this is known but I just wanted to say.

it’s strange, during chapter 3, about loto 6, i don’t have the option “not to check”, after the change of divergence (sent the loto 6 to the past), the story will force me to check the loto 6 mail. And then, after that, about John Titor, after Suzuha told me to ask John Titor about the future thing, I don’t have the option not to send either. The story forced me to send as well.
How to fix that ?

It has been mentioned previously but no reply was give. Near the beginning, when Okabe is sending the message to Daru about Makise being stabbed, the game freezes. No error is given and you can still exit the game but it definitely freezes. Help would be much appreciated
That issue was resolved by the skip feature, but after that, just after viewing the radio building, the game transitions to a black screen and does nothing.
This is not really a problem with the download itself, but could someone recommend me a way to batch download the files from mediafire in Ubuntu (11.10)? I tried with Tucan Manager, but it checks the links and says they have an error. I can download them manually, though, it takes an awful amount of time with my internet connection.

cant get past the part where he introduces the microwave ophone. it enters a loop i cant get out of. is this fixable?
Yes, you can get out of the loop, just get back to the beta timeline.
You can do so by undoing the damage that your comment has made, and then deleting the comment that you’ve posted from erogedownload’s databases…
If you do it correctly, you’ll have moved into the Beta timeline, where the game works without any bugs.

Part 5 does seem to be broken. Tried it on multiple computers just to verify, and it downloads very slowly, then completes but the file size is not correct.

When I try to unzip the game, it says that part 5 is corrupted and so I can’t extract the game. I tried downloading it again but I got the same result.

“mounting” image is basically inserting “virtual” game disc into virtual drive. Check out “FAQ” section for instructions.
I have an actually copy of the game, but I just have a question about the english patch, when the full patch gets released, will I be able to install it without any issues and still have this pre one?

I just downloaded the original 1.20a Update from the publishers website and run in admin, and tada, it works.
