The year is 1956; a series of bizarre murders rocks the city of Tokyo. Well, as vndb says, baka tsuki dropped the translation project and Doki Fansubs picked it up. It seems it is being translated, but who knows how long it will take? It may be months, maybe even years.

After you extract, you don’t have to mount anything. Just use the .exe.

I’m having problems with running this game.
I downloaded all three parts of this game. I can load this game fine when I double click the .exe on winrar. But when I extract it to my desktop or another folder and double click it there, a blue screen full of japanese text shows up and a folder named savedata pops up out of nowhere.
KaraNoShoujo (winRar) came with three files: karanoshoujo.xp3, karanoshoujo.exe, and a folder called plugin.
I also don’t know how to install the voice patch and the fixed non spoiler patch. Please HELP
My computer is in Japanese locale.
Ok I kinda fixed it. I was looking at the part 3 winRar file, when all the necessary files in “plugin” was in part 1. I extracted everything to my desktop. KnS plays fine now. Except the voice patch doesn’t work. Am I supposed to be putting all three .xp3 files and “savedata” in the “plugin” folder?
New problem. I downloaded all the patches. I got the voice patch (patch.xp3), and the fixed spoiler patches(patch2.xp3 & patch 3.xp3)and put them inside the “plugin” folder. I double click, but then the blue screen w/Japanese text shoes up, and another “savedata” folder comes out. Just what the heck am I doing wrong?
OK this is getting too complicated so can anyone just tell me step by step instructions on how to install this game? I gave up because I took the patches and the savedata out of the plugin folder but the blue screen of Japan still persists. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??
You should put patch files in main game directory ( next to karanoshoujo.exe , not in “plugins” directory).

THIS GAME IS SO GOOD. LET ME JUST SAY THIS.
But what is the proper way to play Visual Novels? I try going through all the bad endings first, and the good endings, and then the true ending. But when I do that, I end up skipping a LOT of dialogue (because I have already been through them) that should intensify the story. I don’t want to do it the other way around because doing the bad endings last will end a sour taste in my mouth. How do other people enjoy this?
you can try all of the bad and normal ending first. Then if you go to True Route in the end, it will be the most epic route you ever had. Believe me.
Normally, in “normal” VN (inogure’s VN is abnormal), you can seek for the true end for one of the girls you wanted too. But since in Kara no Shoujo you can’t choose which girl you wanted to end with, you need to see all of the bad end first 🙂

Because megaupload have ANNOYING download limits. And not everyone can use it. And it’s as bad as rapidshare. And many more. Seriously, it suck 🙂
You don’t have to say it like that. It sucks, it’s true… but, with your hated megaupload as an example, you can download the second piece without having to wait 10 mins the first time and an hour the second. To sousou, I can say that those servers you said, the links would fall daily, having admin banned or not on these servers. It breaks the rules on those servers twice… I won’t directly say the rules broken. But fileserve, and filesonic allow these files, if you take the responsability of them.
You can use the Happy Hour in megaupload.
During that time you can put any DL links and it will give you a premium link for that download.
I always use happy hours for my download in Megaupload, no pop-ups and wait time. 😀
Just wondering two things: 1- is this the english mangagamer release?(for some reason, I can’t swap regions on my computer; I think it’s because I don’t have the font) 2- if it isn’t the mangagamer translated version, could you upload it?
I tried downloading via Filesonic as a Free User but halfway through (at about 50%+), there was some sort of error and the download just stopped. No matter how many times I tried again, not just for this game title but also other game titles, the problem would not go away. Must I upgrade to premium account?
maybe u just have connection error or maybe ur isp limit ur download? and in filesonic and fileserve when ur download is stop at the middle u can’t resume it.

One more thing, I suspect that once I started downloading, I only have a limited amount of time to finish it. When I download small files, this problem did not occur. The problem only surfaces when it comes to downloading big files like 200MB+. After a certain amount of time (I usually reached about 50%+ by that time), the download just sort of stop/crash? Any ideas guys?
I had experienced that too, when I tried to use my download accelerator. The download run normally at first, and then it just happened.
Now, I always chose “save file” for 200+ Mb files
What good would come from choosing “save file”?

i re-installed the voice patch and the spoiler patch and the first time i got a blue screen when i renamed the patch. now it’s back to no voice and just music. sorry :/
You can’t just rename patches randomly. The game engine only loads file “patch.xp3” then “patch2.xp3” and so on…
All patches applied have to follow that naming convenction, otherwise game won’t load them.
