The story of Steins;Gate takes place in Akihabara and is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN who has been doing their own research on time travel tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.

I haven't seen the anime yet, or read the manga version and I'm a little on the fence about downloading this.

I actually just finished watching the anime, am a bit suprised it was actually a game (positively suprised though)

story wise i loved it, its greatly insane and serious just when it needs to be and fun to watch.
though im basing this completely on the anime.

time to download!

haven't played yet (still downloading) but chaos;head was good and they belong to same series. + i've heared this is good.
So: If you liked chaos;head, try this too.
If you didn't like chaos;head, you have something wrong in the head, but still try this one.

I've never played Chaos;Head (though I guess that means that there still is something wrong with my head.=P) But if I like Steins;Gate, I'll be sure to try it.

I just checked the translation website and they said that they only had finished the translation and were going to start with the text/image editing.

Is this the full translation?

Well its the end of summer all the work done around this time(and it usually is a lot ) is coming out now its a time were a lot of translations are released .

I put the 2 patch files into the game folder, but it doesn't work: the patch does not replace the Japanese text dialogues.

Does anybody know how to make it work properly?

I have to correct my previous statement: It works, but the intro before the credit titles isn't translated!

Movies are rarely translated in fanpatches, and even if - it's usually separate patch.

I have a problem.
I put the patch in the game folder,but it doesn't work. The game doesn't start,normaly and patched. How can I resolve this problem?

oh and another question admin, is the the same text as from the main site? or did you edit them yourself too?

cause on the site of the translation,they said they are re editing the images and text to be 100% sure

As written in patch description - it translates all text ingame, except "tips".
Also - i'm keeping patches as separate downloads, so when there's newer version of patch released ( edited/fixed typos etc.) all you have to download will be about 15MB.

After you install the game substitute the .exe with the .exe inside the crack folder. :)

Hopefully a walktrhough shows up eventually. I havent played this yet but seems the routes are extremely complicated from the JP walkthrough I did find.
