Shirogane Takeru is a typical high school student with a lazy attitude and a love for the virtual reality mecha battle game Valgern-on. Even though he didn’t really wanted it, he is popular in school mainly due to his daily fights with his osananajimi (Sumika) attracting too much attention. His life takes an unexpected turn when he finds a girl (Meiya) he doesn’t remember ever meeting in his bed one morning. Whom later revealed to be the heiress of one of the biggest zaibatsu. She immediately moves to his house and starts changing his life for the good with her one-track-mind and unlimited resources…
One day Takeru wakes up late, wondering why Sumika or Meiya didn’t wake him up this morning. Not seeing any signs of them he gets a bit worried and goes out of his house to only see the town he lived all his life in ruins. After getting past the initial shock he decides that this must be a dream and decides to enjoy it as much as he can…
Note: This is 2016 re-release, with “Director’s Cut” patch (restoring 18+ content that wasn’t present in Steam release). Compared to previously fantranslated version, it features additional content from PS3 version of the game, higher resolution and improved compatibility with modern systems.

Is there a walkthrough for them ?
I thought the "new content" consisted of 4-5 new CGs which replaces scenes which previously used sprites?
Don't you think so, Chomp-Kun :)
And if you mean the dealings of the first one in MLA, it's only implied but you never see it happening unlike in Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio where the upper echelons are actually shown making decisions based on political and other factors.
No, Zac Atie is right. The comedy in MLE is too overblown to be funny, MLU is more interesting but can't save the game by itself, and MLA is just a massive trainwreck with the most horrific deus ex machina driven plot I've seen in VNs ever with a protag who makes Ikari Shinji look like an awesome guy. Yes, you can still like MLA if you wanted, but it doesn't change the fact that it's still a crappy and way overrated game.
"Uh, it's common sense to like MLA."summons daggers of fanboyism"
*teleports behind you* "nothin personnel kiddo, MLA sucks" *slash*
*counter-attacks*
*parry*
*insert typical shounen dialog*

"What!!"
...
And that is when they realized their fight was pointless. None of them has a way of winning because their weapons are made of the same thing, "subjective opinions"
This is not a matter of just disliking something. I know exactly why I dislike it.
Which means you are wrong when you say I can't win, because I could. I simply don't see it worth getting into arguments over this by spoiling everything for someone who just wants to find some info on Muv-Luv and accidentally gets more than he was asking for. So please try to come up with a better analogy next time.
It does have a different OP, but concerning JAM Project you are thinking of Muv-Luv Alternative. This is Muv-Luv Extra+Unlimited.
But I thought the PS3 version is 17+, thus the PS3 exclusive scenes were basically replacements for the 18+ scenes... Much like Fate/Stay Night Realta Nua...
So I'm confused on what exactly do we have here?...
Is this really an official 'director cut' or some fangroup bunching up everything they have on the Muv-Luv and delivering it in one go?
I had to install Visual C++ Redistributable x86 to fix it.
The very moment i have finished the download on the fantranslation.
COME ON!
Thanks for the upload as always!
I completed Meiya's route in Extra on this release, and going it a second time auto-skip isn't skipping any of the previously read text. Is there a way to make it accurately remember text that has already been read?
spoken like a true, devout prude.. or PC liar.. or just an asexual...
a great many people care about them when it IS an eroge..
doesn't mean they fap... the imagination coupled with good VA goes a long way toward enhancing a VISUAL NOVEL (VISUAL...) experience.. red-blooded humans who are not in denial or lacking testosterone think that H-Scenes are just fine. All these "H-Scenes are dumb" people are just such a-holes... sheeesh...
And I don't know what you've been thinking, but Ixrec's translation is borderline nonsense and has translation errors like every other line. This translation is far closer to how a Japanese person would feel when reading Muv Luv compared to Ixrec's shitty translation that's so literal it's wrong more than half the time.
This translation is far more Americanized and loses the Japanese feel. Normnalfags may find that preferable, but for people actually interested in learning Japanese it is borderline useless. It does not reproduce the feeling of the original Japanese at all, while the old translation largely did. My Japanese is only JLPT 2 and there were several times I went back to the original Japanese to figure out what the hell was really said. The difference between what I heard spoken and what I saw on the screen was staggering at times. Whole sentences were changed in places. There are several ways you can frame it, but accurate is not one of them.
Even though I'm only half Japanese from the USSA I can still assure you this is not closer to what it feels like to real Japanese otaku.
It makes more sense than Ixwreck's translation where he called her "you" and she freaked out like "You... you... you..." which made zero sense at all.
And I said it replicates the feeling a Japanese reader would get from the game, not that it's exactly 1:1 the same as the Japanese. It's trying to represent the feelings Japanese players would have to an English-only audience. If you really think Ixwreck's god-awful translation represented anything like the original product, you're batshit.
And things change in localization. 1:1 literal translations lose a lot of emotional depth and are rarely understandable compared to a localization like this.
And you think this translation has a lot of issues? You should see Ixwreck's seeing as more than half the script has blatant issues and mistranslations.

So aside from edits and fixes is there anything new story-wise in this version or is it just improvements to CG,TL,etc.
It's basically a new experience even if you've read ixwreck's translation.
So here’s some comparisons of the Ixwreck vs Official translations, showing how screwed Ixwreck’s translation is. And these aren’t even the ones where he fucks up basic grammar, and how all of his lore terminology is completely inconsistent across his translation.

Ixrec doesn't know shit about Japanese and his translations are shit with shit writing.
Muv-Luv was an outstanding VN for it's time, it's still a good VN even now. It's slight decrease in popularity is just due to the changing climate of VN's.
Can someone help me please?
Extremely recommended, but beware!
This contains Muv Luv Extra and Muv Luv Unlimited.
While Extra is just your regular stereotype romcom, pay attention to the details, as many of them will come back to bite you later.
Unlimited is the game changer here, introducing the foundations to both MC development and the rollercoaster of emotions that is the third part: Muv Luv Alternative.
Excelent read.
