It's been designed to be reversible: erase the folder graph_vis in the main game directory, this will revert the changes.
I heard you need to browse to here:
\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\\CROSSNET\memoria\graph_vis

but I couldn't find any 'location where you installed the game' under VirtualStore so YMMV.

This might get changed in a future version of the patch, hopefully.

Also, read the readme carefully! You need to manually set the game to use the custom font (config page 2) or word wrapping won't work.

Admin, i wonder if you've heard about latest issue regarding Mediafire being targeted by MPAA? There's a good chance that you're gonna lose all of your mediafire links in the future. I suggest you prepare for uploading your files to another "safe" filehosting or using torrent more often.

Hey guys I have a big problem I have unzipped the files installed the game applied the 1.1 patch and installed the english patch but the game crashes right at the start, the black window pops up (as if the game is starting) but then I get an error from my documents with weird signs and it says something about savegames (if I go to that folder its empty). Can someone pls help me I have no clue what to do with this. :(

If this isn't an April Fools joke, here's my problem, which a couple others have already mentioned. Right after the scene where Mare stabs You with her scythe to erase his nightmare, it changes into a scrolling image of the Tanabata night sky, after which the game crashes with “graph_menu.bin has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.” Then I figured I’d try running the Japanese execution file “memoria.exe” to bypass that spot. When I got to the same location in the game I crash with “memoria.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”

Mind you I have the 1.1 Update installed and also running the game on my computer’s Japanese locale and not AppLocale on Windows XP Home Edition version 2002 service pack 3.

Run the game in Japanese locale. It can't create the path because it contains ??????? instead of 星空のメモリア; it will have the correct path when run in Japanese locale.

For those who are having problems installing it, here's what I did:
1)Mount the ISO file.
2)Open the installer with AppLocale(Japanese).
3)Once installed, update the game from Version 1.0 to 1.1. (Open patcher with AppLocale also)
3)Once you have updated to version 1.1, run the English Patch normally. Upon the completion the Patcher will create a shortcut to the game at your desktop.
4)Use AppLocale to open that shortcut that was made by the English Patcher.
5)Unmount the ISO. Done.

If anyone is getting the first error with chinami about etc/038, this is because you didn't patch the game itself before using the english patch. you can find the v_11 patch of the game inside the folder that you extracted from the mediafire game download link. It's where the game mds and mdf files are - I made the mistake of thinking it was an english patch update that everyone was talking about and that's why I didn't understand at first. I hope this helps anyone who may come across this error in the future.

I have 8 characters unlocked (not including the main character) in the "Character Settings" section, all of which have I can adjust the volume of the voices and only two of which actually have voices. Is this correct? Neither Chinami, Isuzu, Kosame, nor Shino have voices even though there's a volume adjust and test option, which the main character doesn't have. I couldn't find anything when I searched it on Google so it's neither not an actual issue or not a common one. Thanks for you time in advance.

Just finished the whole game, Mare's route felt like a filler. IMO, she deserved a more decent route :\
And as Alucard said, Chinami is not that bad in her route.
Also, the True End is amazing :D, a great read indeed.

I d rate it like this: You should play Asuho and Aoi first, not that bad but only filler-storys. After that, Komomo and Kosame. They share close to the same Story, but also their storys are important for the true ending. Chinami felt also like a part of the whole thing, but was a little too short in my opinion. The true ending was really well-made, although a little bit confusing at first. And Mare was really only a "Take it or shut up" route :( Took me longer to get the H-scenes for her than actually playing the route(had to delete the graph_vis folder in the VirtualStore thingy).

For some reason when I attempt to install the game the installer won't actually start. I just get an error message and it quits the installation. Anyone help?

Question! why does the star case text disappear when I restart the PC?

During a large number of conversations, characters are only appearing partially on screen or completely off screen. For example when talking with the Tenkuru about constructing a planetarium the club president is center screen Asuho is roughly 1/3 off screen and Kosame isn't even visible even when she has lines, anyone else having this happen or have a fix?

Just finished the game and got rid of the Trollphins as well lol.

Game was amazing, Final route and Mare's were really quite special to me =)

these are the steps that i have done-
1. install setup...
2. transfer patch data etc, memoria.hcb and patch to the program files crossnet and switch the version, have clicked the upper part choice ...
3. transfer english patch clicked it and it extract a 2 graph folder and from the previous comments i've DELETED the GRAPH_VIS and played. Everything works normal until i reach a scene of mare u know (T_T) tskk. ^^ and the DOLPHINS appear even after going to the cg sets it is still there..
4. uninstall the game and goes to the my docu find the favorite folder of saves deleted all.by the way i've also deleted the folder of crossnet.
5. install again the game then i first try to do do steps on english patch and deleted graph_vis then transfer the patch update v11 and the patch data etc and memoria.hcb
6. played again about 8 hours skipping tskk. boring and stop before the scene \(^o^)/ excited then...
BOOOMMMM
7. it appears again ihave enough i've do this already 4 times

i found a way to remove dolphins for good

in the folder where u installed the game in the graph_vis folder erase everything
then on the folder right click put properties

Right Click>Properties>Security>Edit on full control i put deny
then put apply i did this and i dont have to worry about dolphins anymore

Well since I didn't find anything about it in previous comments, I'll give the solution to a problem I had:
the install worked fine, the game too, but when I wanted to load a save on next day, the game crashed.
After looking for a solution, I found this: re-launch the english patch, for some reason after that the bug's gone. Since you have to do it every time you reboot your computer, it's not much of a solution, but it's all I could find.

Dang, this title wasn't really worth it. Not complaining about the translation itself and the free download, but the story in this game was hella boring. Tsundere character are usually automatic wins for me, but even this one made me yawn.

Um guys, I installed the game, and habe been playing it but i encounter 2 major problems:
first, sometimes the character appear really weird. They zoom in for some reason.
Second, I can't save!!!

Does this game have choices? To troubleshoot the graph_vis ordeal, I had been CTRL skipping throughout the game. I noticed that I hadn't come up to any choices where my game stops so I can make them.

Just completed the game. It was pretty great, deserved a 9 or higher in my book, and there were so many likeable heroines that i couldn't pick out the route that i'd consider my favorite since i liked just about every single one.

Although i was disappointed in kosame's and especially mare's route length. It was so short compared to everyone else's D: it's the only thing discouraging me from giving this VN a proper 10.

I can never get past the opening movie, after the scene with mare and the intro plays it finishes and nothing else happens after. It stays as a white screen and the main game stays as a black screen, I can exit the game fine but I can't continue playing.

All Tier 1 & 2 Endings are unlocked by selecting the 2 flag choices (marked in the list by (character) behind a choice). What happens if you meet the prerequisites for multiple endings (if possible at all) was not tested by me.

Getting the Yume Ending you need to have cleared all tier 1&2 endings and NOT meet any prerequisites for any tier 1&2 ending.
Reobtaining it after doing it once requires taking her single flag and NOT obtaining Mare's

Getting the Mare ending requires having obtained the Yume Ending and selecting her single flag in choice 12

I recommend clearing the tier 1 endings first ([save 1] between choice 2 and 3). Fastest way is to obtain all first flags and [save 2] at choice 6, go for Aoi, load save 2, create [save 3] at choice 7, go for Asuho, load save 3 and go for Komono.

Then load save 1, obtain Kosame and Chinami flag 1 each, avoid the other flags and [save 4] again at choice 9. Go for the Kosame ending. Then load the fourth savegame, and, before choosing choice 10, [save 5] again. Choose the Chinami ending.

Load save 5, avoid the Chinami ending and go on to automatically obtain the Yume Ending.

Load save 5, no matter what you choose in choice 11, go for the Yume flag in choice 12.

Cleared with all CG, events and whatnot.

Never tried to get an ending without any flags. Since you get all pictures this way, I assume it to be boring and couldn'd be bothered to make the attempt.

hey guys, umm i've downloaded everything, but when im trying to install, the installer in the foreign language doesnt work at all, it just shows a bunch of gibberish as well as the destination of my files (like desktop/folder/etc/etc)

Ok, I solved most of the problems i had installing this thing and I noticed no one was truly helping. I don't care if you want for someone to browse 450 comments in order to come across a quick-written, ill explained method for installing. And not everyone has the computer skills to do so.

so here's a quick guide for all those with trouble:

*unrar the ISO with winrar
*mount it with Daemon Tools, if you don't have it download it
open Daemon, select virtual drive and browse for the ISO
*Once mounted, make sure you change your locale language to japanese
*to do this: start menu, control panel, language, system locale language,admin tab, change config, choose japanese.
*run Daemon tools, select the ISO you mounted and run "launch.exe"
*you can't read most of the stuff during the instalation but nevermind that, just make sure to check the instalation directory (C:program files/CROSSNET/ ......)
*once installed, run the patch file
*it will automatically search for the folder where the game is installed and apply the patch
*go to the instalation directory and look for the exe named (memoriaEN) that's the game in english, but don't launch it just yet
*To get rid of the dolphins: there are 3 ways of doing so.
-disable total control of the graph_vis folder: (properties, advanced, edit....)
-replace graph_vis folder with an empty folder with the same name
-open graph_vis folder, select all files and edit them to "read only" attribute.

these methods worked for me, if they don't work for you, just delete graph_vis folder everytime you play :/

*now before you play, search for the update 1.1 patch
it's one rar file that came along with the game
*unrar it
*DO NOT open the exe
*instead open the patch data folder, copy and replace the files there with the ones in the instalation directory.
That will solve most bugs and crashes (i know it did for me)

I can't get rid of those damn dolphins. Apparently you have to delete the graph_vis folder. I did that because it wouldn't even let me play the game for more than 2 minutes if I hadn't.

Anyways, I got the 1.1 patch and installed it. I've played and I've saved a few times now and I finally made it to Mare's route. I still get dolphins with graph_vis folder gone.

I uninstall the game and reinstall keeping my saves. Still the dolphins. I find a new patch called the untroll patch which is supposed to remove the dolphins. I install it and no go.

Do I have to delete all my saves and restart for these methods to work?

I think there's something wrong with my game. I finished Asuho's route and went into Komomo's route. I did skipping so the previous texts I already read skips. But the thing is, EVERYTHING skips! 1) I have Windows 7 64 bit, and I hear I'm supposed to erase the graph_vis thing? Is that correct? If so, is there anything I should do before I delete it, or is it okay to delete it and play through the whole thing like it never exited.

2) Version 1.1 thing... i did the patch thing (which was in Japanese so I have no idea if it succeeded or not). When I run the Japanese version I get ver 1.1, but the English version I still get Patch 1.0... is this correct?

3) Also, why do words look cut and stuff. I hear you have to do something about that (which I couldn't find on the game setting thingy)

4) Also when I extracted the Version 11 rar, I got 3 things, a note, a patch exe, and a folder that contains 2 files (.bin and a .hcb). What am I supposed to do with these?? Just put them in the folder and replace what I had before???

ffffs this was a GREAT visual novel. Having a hard time finding the next one to play. I have "Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo” lined up, hopefully the internet ratings on this one will prove correct and it will be on par with a game such as this one..

As you can see on the bottom right, it's set to JPN locale, and I downloaded the game with it.

something is wrong with the English patch download i keep trying but it says ip wrong

Whenever I click on any of the download links on this site the page just reloads so I am unable to click on any of the links. Can someone copy the links for the instalation and english patch?

For anyone having problems, ill copy what this guy (Albert) said, it was exelently useful to me, and I run a very crappy pc, just follow as he says:

here’s a quick guide for all those with trouble:

*unrar the ISO with winrar
*mount it with Daemon Tools, if you don’t have it download it
open Daemon, select virtual drive and browse for the ISO
*Once mounted, make sure you change your locale language to japanese
*to do this: start menu, control panel, language, system locale language,admin tab, change config, choose japanese.
*run Daemon tools, select the ISO you mounted and run “launch.exe”
*you can’t read most of the stuff during the instalation but nevermind that, just make sure to check the instalation directory (C:program files/CROSSNET/ ……)
*once installed, run the patch file
*it will automatically search for the folder where the game is installed and apply the media fire English patch
*go to the instalation directory and look for the exe named (memoriaEN) that’s the game in english, but don’t launch it just yet
*To get rid of the dolphins: there are 3 ways of doing so.
-disable total control of the graph_vis folder: (properties, advanced, edit….)
-replace graph_vis folder with an empty folder with the same name
-open graph_vis folder, select all files and edit them to “read only” attribute.

these methods worked for me, if they don’t work for you, just delete graph_vis folder everytime you play :/(this is the best option)

*now before you play, search for the update 1.1 patch
it’s one rar file that came along with the game
*unrar it
*DO NOT open the exe
*instead open the patch data folder, copy and replace the files there with the ones in the instalation directory.
That will solve most bugs and crashes (i know it did for me)"

i know iv seen this in the comments but i cant find a solution. is there a way to fix the issue with the text going off the text box and not having the whole conversation in it. its not really a whole big deal but im one that loves to read the whole story. but im not losing the whole conversation so im able to understand what there trying to say. thanks in advance if there is a way to fix.

i am right now almost at the end of my second route, so as of now i still have to go through quite a few routes, but the two i have played were quite similar constructed. but that doesnt change that i liked both of the routes and the main route as well, so i dont really see a problem there. just stating that for those of you who want something completly new in each route.

So I dowloaded the game, applied all the patches just fine. Problem is when I start the game, the screen is black and the game won't close. The music is playing just fine. Anybody know what the problem is?

Ohhh man this game was horrible for the first few routes. Everyone's all "omg i'm such a victim thank goodness there's someone who can magically make my life better," etc. I was really starting to enjoy Aoi's route and found her to be quite adorable (after such a struggle of enduring her horrendously long coodere phase, very late with the dere). Following that was Chinami's, the one I wanted to start with. She was entertaining and incredibly adorable; I picked her as my first route the moment she popped up (and was instantly disappointed upon finding she had to be second). Her end was just as disappointing as Aoi's, the good ol' "let's have that scythe make everything all better cuz who cares about working through our own issues."

That being said, I really started enjoying this game from the Hisakaki sisters on, my last four routes. I started out disliking each sister at the beginning of their respective routes and came to appreciate them by the end. I was really struggling and considered stopping until reaching Komomo's route. Good game all-in-all, I really enjoyed it. Thanks for the upload Admin.

All works fine, except that in some lines, the text doesn't fit in the box... just a little thought, so I'm not sure if it's normal. I saw the problem above, but I already installed the custom font and set it in the options. It's not that big of a deal but could someone tell me if that's supposed to happen or not? It happens rarely, in moments where there is a lot of text and only one or two word are out of the box.

Can't install it at all. I have it mounted. I have on Japanese locale. The install box comes up and I go through the process and get to the install progress bar and then an error or something pops up.

I installed the game and it works perfectly, but I have a problem with the movie mode. No video scenes were played at the beginning of the game or a route. I looked into the movie folder and there was only the opening movie. Does somebody knows how can I fix it or if the video scenes are important?

If you don't have the japanese locale, but followed the install instructions correctly, here's something I found that works.

There are 2 .hcb files, one should be Memoria.hcb [the original one] and the other should be MemoriaEN.hcb [the translated one]

I found that if you switch the file names, you will be able to run the game in english without the need for the English .exe!

I need help. I don't think the updater wants to work. It's still 1.1, and it doesn't want to update to 1.11. What should I do?

Hey guyz, if someone is having troubles installing this game, even after set all jap and have the latest DX, im sorry to tell you the problem is the installer itself... the reason... this game cannot be installed on some operative systems like mine (i have Win Xp 64 bits)... but is not the end of the world, because u know, there are many games more xD... nah just kidding... u need to edit the .MSI file with orca and delete the install condition... i dunno if will work for all the OS, at last work for me and my Win Xp 64b.

This was a very good story and i enjoyed how more unlocked after each ending, even if it was a loli area why dolphins? they could of put a big censor over it or something.

Also being from Australia it just made me shake my head more.

If you with the view the Mare GC and Memory there is a folder located at the instilled section which inside will have a lot of files with Mare's name. if you remove this the dolphin photos will also be removed.

HOWEVER this will also remove the English patch for this part so I would advise passing this section first before deleting these files.

Is the skip function bugged? because when ever I use auto-skip it skips unread text also.

For those who have problem when opening this game, right click and properties,set the compatibility and set it to run on compatibility mode Windows XP Service Pack 3 .

This is probably one of the best visual novels I have played, seriously, I loved it. The plot was so good. :)

Well it took me a while but I finished the game for the first time yesterday. I loved Hoshizora, it's a well written and fun story with some really unexpected twists. I played Asuho's route and it was really good, she's such a sweety :)
Also I loved the fact that there are no bad endings here (from what I've heared anyway) which makes it all the more worthwhile to play.
Anyway I also want to check out how Komomo's and Kosame's route plays out, should be fun :)

Getting this weird error when I get to a certain point in the game, I have tried reinstalling the game like 3 times, I had my locale in Jap, ran as admin and it still won't stop giving me this error. It's like error 1155 or something. Do I have to redownload it? Helps!

Just finished. Damn good visual novel. Some routes are hit or miss, but the overall experience was great. *** was adorable, and most of the running jokes were hilarious. I had to replay okaizumi screaming "SHIT" every time it came up.

One of the best VN I've played. Great chars, good story, good graphs. I just didn't like the fact that the cgs were all in the end, but the quality of the story made me forget that. I would buy this if it was translated officially and sold on the west.

the install wlkthrough confuses the everlovin hell outa me. Its like, install this delete this etc. which im ok with.... then further down its like \this patch is no longer valid so use this, these steps are no longer valid. btw here's 3 more patches !\ and now im not sure what to install -_-

Around 1 hour into the game, And I want to kick this little sister out of the house, she is so annoying. I know Visual novels need jokes, but too much clinches and it is more boring. Wish the scenes goes normally, it would be a lot better game that way. (So far, I would cut the evaluation points by 2 (out of 10) just from her existence in the game alone)

What should i do with update english patch??

for those getting the 1155 (random japanese letters) .msi error during install after mounting, run the install 'disk' using applocale. the installer will be all in japanese so its a trial and error in terms of program path if you want to change it and the various other menus. however the main pieces listed in the how to install page here will be easy to spot.

Yo i feel like playing this again but i want to start fresh so it doesn't skip everything, which file is the save data in the games files? I can't seem to find it.

Everytime I try to install using "launch" on the .iso i get an error, and clicking on the "wish upon a shooting star" windows installer works until about halfway where it gets stuck. i have 2 isos mounted, one full size and one 5 kb. my locale is japan. what's going wrong?

Too bad you're gonna need to go through all the horse shit putting your locale to Japanese. Doesn't even work properly with AppLocale, don't bother unless you know a little Japanese or you won't find shit again after changing your locale. Had a bad experience with that, accidentally deleted my original locales, because the 'Activate/Delete' buttons are so alike and just next to each other and didn't memorize the positions. A cmd command for system restore fixed it and figured how I failed to click the right buttons, but I ain't going through that crap again. This is a no-go for me, unfortunately, was looking forward to it.

I guess getting through that hellish installation was worth it, Story was top notched for me... Execution of bgms and the bgms itself were exceedingly surpassing my expectation... Scenes and CGs were goddamn good. Especially the combination of the BGM and CG together in creating the scenes atmosphere. Great VN. I'm crying tears of joy right now T_T. thumbs up.

So much for being a teenager coursing through puberty, this visual novel was a spot on to my liking based on my current situation (as a teenager). Some may be (or may not be) expected at how the story will flow, but still a GREAT VN overall. It's one of those things that you don't feel you wasted your time playing it. And was contented.
