Suika A.S+

The Tokiwa village is surrounded by the ocean and the mountains.
Tokiwa, “never changing”, the village was named. Even in this “never changing” village, the season is changing to summer.
When the “no-name” girl ran through the village while ringing the little bell on her hat, the red strings of fate entangled……

Hiroshi Inaba left home because he didn’t want to be tied down with the old family tradition. When he heard his father has become seriously ill, he came back to his home village, Tokiwa village, on the star festival night. That’s when he met the mysterious girl who was holding a black stuffed animal cat.

Wearing black clothes and a black hat, the girl didn’t remember her own name. However, as he spends more time with the girl and her stuffed animal cat, Archimedes who could understand what people are saying, her identity starts to become more clear. The special summer for Hiroshi has just begun.

I just barely pass chapter two though..
Looking forward to complete this game

If i may, i'd like to comment : Nice choice of title for the game --> Suika (Watermelon) which is "the summer fruit of choice" in Japan, but there is nothing about the Watermelon itself in the game(so far,at least,-->Hahaha, nice twist) Just to indicate that the setting take place in the summer.

The game, It really touch me.

"Suika (水夏?) is a Japanese adult visual novel developed by Circus and was first released on July 27, 2001 for the PC as a CD-ROM, followed by a DVD-ROM release on August 31, 2001. It was followed by two all-ages consumer ports for the PlayStation, retitled as Water Summer, and the Dreamcast on July 18, 2002, which was subsequently followed by an all-ages version for the PC, released on July 25, 2003. An expanded version, entitled Suika A.S+ (水夏A.S+?), was released in Japan on September 24, 2004 with the adult content found in the original version, followed by a European release on April 25, 2009, and was again ported to the PlayStation 2, entitled Suika A.S+ Eternal Name (水夏A.S+ Eternal Name?), released on August 30, 2007 with the adult content removed."

The art style is familliar... I knew it!!! the picture is kinda fuzzy on my screen but after searching for a bit... turns out this game was by the people from Circus. The same people who created the Da Capo series. :)

Actually don't bother. Having finished one complete route, with a few deviations into alternate choices, I can now conclude that for the most part, the endings to the stories make little sense and everything you may think you understand about any given character is pretty much liable to change based on the whims of the writer, regardless of any meaningful setup.

Answer for your question. She found the picture that her father drew. It's that picture of her and the sunflower that wearing hat. Meaning is, the sunflower is her mother that died in sunflower field (The hat that Sayaka wears was originally her mother's). That picture gives the feeling of a happy family. Like it tells that her father was the one who draw the paint use his wife and daughter as a model.
