Newton and the Apple Tree

“‘Newton’ was actually the pen name of a brilliant-minded girl!?”

Protagonist Syuji Asanaga and his childhood friend Yotsuko Utakane, whilst tracking down Syuji’s missing grandfather, unexpectedly ended up travelling through time.
What they witnessed upon their arrival was the presence of a single girl right in front of them.

This particular girl would go on to be dubbed as the father of modern-day science, Sir Isaac Newton!
That’s correct, Newton turned out to be a small, flat-chested girl!
Unaware of this, Syuji loudly crashed into the apple tree right in front of the girl.

“Just now… I came up with something that might be incredibly ground-breaking, you know!?”

It was at the moment our main couple travelled through time, right then and there, that Newton discovered universal gravitation!
And just like that, through Syuji’s witless conduct, the great scientific discoveries of that century had all crumbled to ashes.
What’s more, like the domino effect, this would gradually end up altering key points in history.

It is now sometime during the 17th century!
The story is set at a prestigious English university called “Tenbridge University”,
named for the fact that it spans a total of ten bridges!

Will Syuji ever be able to rectify history and return to the present!?

Man why are people getting triggered lmao. I'm just happy there's another visual novel to play. I love the feeling of discovering a new visual novel and just starting it. It gets me excited to experience something new, even if it's something similar to something I've read before. Besides, I'm sure that every one of us came to like visual novels not just because of the story, but because of the plot :). I'm glad that I was able to play Evenicle, and be exposed to those types of games, i.e. Rance and Kamidori.

Okay, I've played up to the point where someone says the main character's full name and I think it's 'Shuji' and not 'Syuji'. This would make sense as Shuji is an actual Japanese name while Syuji is a word for practicing calligraphy

You'll notice they do the same for his father. They use Syuichiro instead of Shuuichirou. It's not mistranslated. They are just being weird and using a less popular romantization system.

This vn is kind of frustrating... the best girls get the worst endings :( but it was still a nice read. I liked the common route a lot, and one of the heroines is one of the most likeable I've seen in visual novels (I'm sure you'll find who when you play)

This is the order I recommend you to take:

-Yotsuko
-Lavi
-Lavi (a second time, you can skip most of the text)
-Haru
-Emmy
-Alice

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Vns that travel to the past are always enjoyable in my opinion when done correctly (in regards to using history as a basis -- another Vn that was pretty enjoyable was Harukoi Otome). Everything in here (from a broad standpoint -- I wasn't actively trying to scrutinize any small details, and if there were any, they didn't worsen my experience) seemed pretty plausible, and I liked where the story went. I'd say a couple routes had predictable outcomes, but I'd also say it didn't make it any less fun. Playing the correct route order is definitely a must though. Fail to follow that order, and the visual novel will feel pretty off, as each route has something important (imo) that contributes to the next route.

All-in-all I'd certainly give this a recommendation if you're looking for something to read.

As posted already, the route order is:
Yotsuko>Lavi>Lavi a second time (some minor changes but just skip til you see them)>Haru>Emmy>Alice
