After being taken in by Kashou and his little sister, Shigure, the young kittens, Chocola and Vanilla find it difficult to fit in. Despite the warm welcome the other Minaduki catgirls give to them, they act with trepidation as they adjust to the pace of the family.
As they slowly interact with their fellow sister catgirls, Chocola and Vanilla begin to open up more and it’s here we see Kashou’s kindness towards them that builds up their feelings towards him.
Nekopara Extra is an extra episode in the series that was part of a stretch goal from the Nekopara OVA crowdfunding campaign. The lovable catgirls, Chocola and Vanilla, are back and this time the story focuses on their first arrival at the Minazuki household before the events of Nekopara Vol. 1.

All it has to it's name is well made sex-scenes.
Why do they release a porn-free entry to the series?
Just having a hard time to understand what anybody wants from this other than porn? I always found the overall story to be... rather dull (to say it nicely).
Pretty sure NekoPara originally started off as a bunch of random pictures of Chocola and Vanilla that circulated through the internet years ago, as in ~2010, and the pictures that really got the interest toward them going were of course the soft porn images. I still remember that one picture of Chocola and Vanilla covered in red and blue gel that I saw ages ago, even though I can't remember much else regarding Nekopara.
Oh, and not to mention the fact that a hentai doujin eventually came out and sparked more interest in them. Nekopara kinda grew because of porn (and memes at this point). Porn might not be the only reason people like Nekopara, but it's definitely the reason Nekopara is huge.
Would love to see the same happen with Mafia: Brigade of the Knowledge Seekers, though it seems rather unlikely. Unlike Nekopara, Mafia actually looks like it could make an interesting story. Which of course means nobody's interested in it. And there'd probably need to be porn of it.
Well true the nekopara started off as just a mere artwork then doujinshi came in and that's when it literally blow up.
As for why they are releasing a non-h content? well in my opinion they are just milking the series as much as possible releasing content bit by bit keeping who are fans of the series on edge/suspense honestly this content should have been in the vol. 0 but since they want to make the series longer, milking it more it was separated.
It's just my opinion though since this kind of strategy tend to be pretty obvious especially if the series is pretty popular and im not sure how big of producer of nekopara is since sometimes it depends on the company if the company is pretty small this is a pretty standard way of doing things if the company is big idk why bother keep releasing small content then again given they do multiple language in every release so yeah....they might be the only company atm who makes VN that releases with multiple language.
