lcsebody1 runs the game, but it doesnt properly load character graphics, so i guess that crack doesnt work completely, >.>

Same situation. Menus & prologue can be accessed. main storyline (because of some opening movie or something, I guess) & character graphics won't load though.

I guess there's need for some fine-tuning in a few definitons inside the exe? Seems like the basis of the crack is still working though. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

If you're really impatient (and really poor), you can run the game using the lcsebody1 provided up there. You just need to extract the contents of lcsebody2. You can utilize google to find lcsebody extraction tools. If you did it right you'll end up with about 4.6 thousand .pngs. Just leave those in the same directory as lcsebody1.exe and it will find them and you should be on your way.

The reason that lcsebody won't work as is is because it doesn't check for lcsebody2(It's from a game that had everything in lcsebody1), which has all the character graphics.

why this game can instal in windows 8?

The program is exwlcs.exe and you need to make a new folder drag lcsebody2 & lcsebody2.lst to it then you change the 2 to 1 then drag to exe once done rename the lcsebody back to how they was and copy everything to installation folder.

Just once more though, I'd say do buy this if you actually have the money. The way mangagamer sets their prices is based on the lenth of the VN itself, so long ones like these get 50 dollar pricetags because 2mb of text costs them about 67 grand to pay to translate(Rough assumption based upon 0.01c per char, chars per byte). Basically, if they sell less than 1200 copies of this they effectively lost money. And their biggest seller to date has only sold about 2400.

The softhouse seal titles are all short and only cost about 10k-15k to translate, so they're what actually makes them money. At 25 bucks a pop, those ones only need to get in the high hundreds before they're making money. I imagine if their big titles keep bombing in sales they're eventually just going to give up and just do nothing but softhouse seal shit.

Oh boy... Verily, Kisaya's mannerisms doth grate on my nerves - Ye Butchered Olde English gets annoying after a while.

Anyway, extracting the contents of lcsebody2 and lcsebody2.lst with exwlcs.exe works like a charm. If anyone wants step-by-step instructions, here they are.

1. Download this old lcsebody1 crack and put it in your game folder... http://www.putlocker.com/file/2E29B6C3621F3080

2. Download exwlcs.exe from http://www.findthatzip-file.com/search-16264236-hZIP/winrar-winzip-download-exwlcs-zip.htm

3.Extract it with whatever unzipper you use (I use Winrar) and place it in the same older you have Harukoi Otome installed.

4.Hold down control and left-click both lcsebody2 and lcsebody2.lst and drag the two of them on top of exwlcs.exe

5.You should have a bunch of PNG's in your game folder now. Double-click the lcsebody1 crack you downloaded step 1 and you're good to go - no problems whatsoever.

That or you can wait till a proper crack comes out, but this works.

I started the way as above, everything works) but I used the extractor directly with bat file, just threw it and lcsebody2 and lcsebody2.lst files into a folder and ran, and then the picture in the main, well lcsebody1 there and all)

Any estimate on when an actual crack for the game will be out?

The font sucks a bit (not sure if it's a crack problem or what) and the spacing is strange between some characters which makes it a little hard to read at times but it's working fine now with the method Jesse suggested. Only dragging the files onto exwlcs.exe did nothing for me. I had to go into the command prompt and type in exwlcs lcsebody2.lst lcsebody2, which worked fine then. So besides the font issue thanks!

For those still having problem with the image extraction process. If the program runs and closes without error it should have worked. Though,It dosen't always dump the images in the same folder you started the extraction from.
I tried it on XP and it dumped in my Document and Settings\(User name) folder.
I also tried it on Vista and it dumped in my My Pictures folder.

If you get an error the command prompt will stay open and display the error, but if it closes on its own and you dont see any pics search your computer. It dumps about 50 million .png images so its not terribly hard to find if you search for newly created content.

Everybody who's having problems using this workaround: try to right click lcsebody1.exe and run as system administrator. Then drag those two files on them. Works without a problem. I haven't had any so far...

For those who have problem with extractor

1. Download the utility - http://www.mediafire.com/download/z4eya5p1is07kvg/lcsebody_unpacker.rar  
2. In the game folder, create a new folder. Put there lcsebody2 and lcsebody2.lst. 
3. Unzip the utility in this folder. Run the run.bat 
4. The resulting png move into the original folder (4644 png). 
5. lcsebody2 lcsebody2.lst and can be removed.

For those who have extractor already just create new txt which contains
those lines

exwlcs lcsebody2.lst lcsebody2

and rename txt to bat. Then just run it.

Using the wrong locale or an old exe, such as the one posted previously may break the word wrapping.

Is there a specific order I should complete every heroine route? I think there are bad endings if you try to complete a locked route.

nr.1 is no doubt Ayaka, rest i don't care no offence but i didn't like kisayas seiyu, tragic voice that's my opinion, plus i'm not loli nor siscon so it was to me to get these endings (umi etc). Anyway Ayaka is the best

how do you manually apply the cpu usage fix to the lcsebody.exe, i downloaded both versions by Anon Cracker and they are the same file with different name and they both have 100% cpu usage

i just completed Umi's route, and is the ending genuinly it skipped the accident and him waking up from his injury?? i was really engorged into the story, and i wanted to see him waking up after it, but it just skipped it :S or did he die?

Well that was interesting run, however alot of scenes and conversations made me go WTF, mostly Fuyurugi and Serizawa routes. My personal favorite story here is Riru. Wish they would give me Natsuko or her duo partner instead of Sonja and/or Serizawa.

Its fascinating, finding out that "Oikawa" and some scenery from that game where used already in Koihime Mouso as I played that game just for the heck of it. Would have been nice when they had done there a little connection when usig the Chars, backgrounds and the likes in both games. (even the emblem over there on Oikawas uniform is the same as in Harukoi Otome)

Wow what a game. The storylines might be a little cliche, but ayaka's route made me cry legit. My favorite one was Kisaya's mainly cause I play sports haha.

If u had a problem with the annoying identification number just go copy 'lcsebody' to the folder at your computer>baseson>HarukoiOtome then paste the file there its only (676kb)then after the copying done.....presss the lcsebody then gameee!!!!!!

Okay so, not sure if anyone has this problem. However, it seems I do not have access to the CG/Scenario/Music options on the main menu (title screen, call it what you want). I recently cleared Ayaka's Bad route and was wondering if I have to get a good ending first (to allow the said options listed above) or if something went wrong with downloading/extracting. So many people getting confused over this piece of application, "lcsebody"; some people even called it icebody (it's lcsebody forsaken, license_body. which means need a configuration.

Here,download the god**** CRACK.exe at the end of the part list. Only 676 KB, No need to extract, because it's in .exe not .rar

After you download that crack, which should have name the same as the one previously in the Harukoi Otome folder, "lcsebody".
Drag the crack one, and place it on the folder.

The PC "usually" will prompt you if you really want to replace the file, YES! The replacement (aka. CRACK) doesn't need any configuration anymore, duh!!

To the admin/uploader: If it's possible and if you're willing, could you please include a censored or uncensored tag? In some cases it's pretty obvious a game is censored (like this case & those cases that require separate english patches), but it's not always obvious if something has officially been translated or not.

Finished both Kisaya's ( a little surprise awaits those who finish this route ) and Ayako's route and I have to say they were nice , clishe'ish but good overall .
I might try Umi for a change , after all a kouhai comes after a sempai/senpai .

OMG!!! I'm in love with this game. At first I thought it's going to be just some sweet VN, but then the feels hit. And boy did they hit hard.
