Ayakashi Gohan

Once upon a time, a long time ago… It is not.

In the corner of a certain village where ayakashi and humans coexist, there is a shop that serves meals for ayakashi. The name of this eatery is “Ponpokorin”. In that store, both ayakashi and humans visit it seeking to have a delicious meal. The shop owner is a youko (a mythological fox spirit) taking on a human form.

“Everybody can be happy if they can have a delicious meal.” That was the youko’s creed. The youko and its soon-to-be 7-year-old son continue to cook delicious meals to this very day.

One day, as the hot summer ended and the harvest of autumn approached, a lone girl enters the youko’s store.

From that moment onwards, the story begins.

Hi, when I downloaded and installed, setup with japanese language opened and the game won't play, just a box with question marks appears. How come? Thanks!

So, I downloaded the game, changed over to JP locale, restarted, and gave it a shot... and I've got nothing. Just that weird error message and a lot of Japanese.
I'll try re-downloading it (all fourteen parts, being broke sucks) and try again, but any advice would be appreciated.
I'm running Windows 10, if that would have anything to do with it.

Not entirely sure how to leave a reply, because when I click the 'reply' button it doesn't really do anything for me. Apparently I'm having some serious tech trouble today. Either that or the site hates my computer for some reason. Or I'm doing something stupid - that's always an option. This will probably go admin's way anyway, so I guess it works out.

The 'weird error message' I was getting:
It doesn't actually say much of anything. The game window pops up, and with it comes an error message box that has a bunch of symbols - clicking on the button it has closes out of the game, and I have no other options.

Prior to this I was getting a gray box that looked like a handful of settings options - I clicked the 'okay' button and the game started. The box was entirely in Japanese, but I figured the translated part would come once I was in game, so it didn't bother me. Just giving this for further detail as to the when/where of things.

Make a screenshot of error box and post link here - without it, there's no much to work with.

Also, make sure your computer is set to Japanese locale - there's link for instruction in FAQ.

Hi there! I haven't had any trouble with this game until the fourth route. When I go into the Water Chapter on the Human route an error pops up and it crashes. The error code is NIN_01. Any help with this? I've tried reinstalling and reapplying the patch many times

You have to basically go and find where on C ti did the main save files and delete the base save.00 one(temporarily, keep it in the recycle bin), and then get to the start of the routes and resave for the routes you still need to do/at the first choices for Human and Ayakashi Rin.
It's a sad side effect of added text after each route, with the fanlation. It's sort of a softlock crash. They say put back in the Japanese bit to skip past it but it didn't work for me so thus the whole delete the save.00, get to/turn on hard skipping and get to a spot to save at the conversation choices for H + A Rin, then reinstate the .00 (it's the one that has like, amounts of routes completed CGs etc, basically not a save file btu the tracklog).

With C ti I meant where on the C drive "it" is. The save files. So like C: \ users \ (whatever your PC/username for it is) \ saved games \ honeybee \ then it'll be the name ayakashi gohan but in well, Japanese characters. the saves should be in there.

I had problems downloading it (Especially the last part) and when I finish and I tried to run it a lot of japanese letters apeared and show me error, maybe you have to refresh your links or semthing It would be for much help :c

Hi! I'm having a problem with the game. I'm on the last route (Kimura Asagi) and this error message keeps showing up early in the Water Chapter. It has the error code AYA_01A3 and some Japanese characters and only shows a button that says "OK" that force closes the game when I click it :( If anyone could help me with this I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!!
