Slobbish Dragon Princess

Slobbish Dragon Princess

The main character is a sprightly young NEET who lives in a dilapidated dojo. He and his family are known martial artists, but his father is a deadbeat; a gambling drunkard constantly getting into fights. Meanwhile, he refuses to work, claiming it to be part of his training. Ichinose Suzuka from the neighboring sweets shop often takes care of him.

One day, he picks up a strange, lizard-like being on the side of the road. At first, he planned to cook it, but Suzuka vetoes the idea. Instead, he names it “Haru” and keeps it as a pet. As he grows fonder of Haru, dragonkin suddenly invade from space!

The dragons are about to take over earth, but Haru suddenly transforms from a lizard into a beautiful lady and persuades them! Wouldn’t you know it — Haru was actually the princess of the dragons!

Mankind somehow avoids total subjugation, but now Haru joins the protagonist in his NEET lifestyle. Meanwhile, Suzuka is on pins and needles as they try to avoid the spotlight. Even now, dragons can be spotted here and there around town. Here begins their bizarre, yet down to earth daily life.

  1. I feel like I played a partially completed game… I’ll overlook the fact that there’s only 1 route, despite having a choice… After all, there are decent games that are fixed to harem route. However, from a story standpoint, it’s just incomplete. The story just cuts off.

First off, they never reach a real conclusion to the main problem introduced at the beginning. The problem is still at the background, and the crew is just happily ignoring it…

2nd, the story ends right after new concepts and powers are introduced. The day after the first incident with dragon possession is resolved, they go fishing and it literally ends there. This opens up so much possibilities and potential for the story, but it just ends! What about the dad? Since the MC is a martial artist, isn’t it really good story fodder for him to get dragon power and fight another dragon? What about other dragons/possessed causing problems?

I usually wouldn’t rant like this, I mean there are stupid nukiges that have really bad stories and all, but it felt like there was so much potential, and it all just ended in the middle. I guess the most irritating part is how it has no conclusion. Even most nukiges have conclusion, especially to the main scenario, even if they are bad.

I mean, overall, I wouldn’t say all the characters were totally unique and that if the story actually finished properly it would be a top tier VN… No, the characters and the storyline so far was really B-tier at best. But the thing is this incompleteness gives it negative points for me. What could have ended as a B-tier VN feels like C-tier and as aggravating as an F-tier because of this shitty sudden end. As a story lover, this is wayyyyy too aggravating. I mean, really. A bad storyline is better than an incomplete one. It’s even worse because I could imagine at least a couple more incidents happening, leading to a finale where feelings and resolve are tested, and they finally reach a conclusion… It may have been sappy and predictable, but that would still be a better end than how this ended. I don’t usually use swear words, but I find myself typing them and erasing them for this, because that’s just how much I’m triggered. Nor do I write this much. Maybe it’s because it’s late at night, but I know that even considering that this is one of the most endings I’ve seen in VNs in years. I mean, I’ve seen some fucked up endings, disappointing endings, distasteful endings, and awful endings in some VNs. But none made me so expectant and let me down as much as this one did.

    1. This sums it up. It had potential to be decent, but Sekai Project got lazy. No differentiating routes, no story development, no Dorami scenees, nada.

      1. You mean WHIRLPOOL got lazy. After all, they are the ones that made the game. Sekai Project is the publisher not the developer lol.

    2. ***Anyone reading this**Rejoice we already
got an fandisc for dorami the white hair cool one also in few hope the project does an sequel by 25 of 6 of 2020

  2. Admin, you should upload Iwahime, another folk horror VN by Ryukishi07 (writer of higurashi/umineko) although this one is not nearly as long/ambitious.

  3. somebody else also getting tiered while reading this description while also battling the urge to shot oneself in the face?

        1. But then… aren’t you just a bio-computer keeping itself hooked on a simple endorphin-loop while trying to avoid realizing that and thus loosing it’s last defense against an already out of control depression?
