Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo

Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo

In the near future.
In a not so distant place.
There exists a society where law is based upon deterrence and criminals are assigned “obligations” fitting for their crimes.
Within this society, a man named Morita Kenichi aspires to the position of Special High Class Individual, one who holds authority over said criminals.
For the purpose of fulfilling his ambition, Kenichi returns to the town he once called home. There he will encounter three girls bearing “obligations” and there he will encounter the past he left behind.
Won’t you join him in this story about how people relate to their society?
In this story about how a society relates to its people.
In this story about the girl amid the sunflowers growing in the country spinning like a wheel.

  1. Patch doesn’t work. Works on the menu screen and opening screen, but text boxes are just blank in game.

  2. So when I downloaded all 6 parts, I extracted it into downloads and ran setup.exe, but it’s just a bunch of weird symbols i can’t understand. When I go through the setup and it finishes, it opens some weird blue console and probably lets me know something went wrong. I am very confused, what happened?

  3. After I install It run and played to test if its working.
It works Perfectly (My System Locale is Set to Japan) but when I restarted my PC there is a message popup now whenever I open the game and i can’t play it because this message is in japanese and when i close that message it closes the game also 🙁

      1. Haven’t tried it, but it might be the Problem. I am fairrly new to VN. Thank you for the quick reply though ^-^

  4. It’s giving me a “file not found” error when I try to download Part 3. Is there a way to fix this or get this elsewhere? I’d love to read this VN.

    1. Wait until parts 1 and 2 finish downloading before starting 3rd. Free users can download 2 files at once.

  5. when you see the 18+ tag and thank the makers (Read Gsenjou and heard this was by the same company) I hope this novels good ayee lmao

    1. Yup, those two are by the same authors, and content is similar. Personally, I liked this one over Gsenjou more, but YMMV.

  6. If you have errors after entering game, and little blue screen appear with red critical error, delate EVERYTHING in savedata folder. Worked for me(as there are information, that don’t work with english/other language, but, thanks to patch, with japanese system it’s not working, too.
So if you delate all info from savedata, it’s going clearly and nicely.
I’m just instaling this game, so for most people this info will be all to late… but still, maybe, someday it will help someone. 😉

  7. Syrian.exe application which is used for the English patch has a IDP trojan attached to it. AVG keeps on removing it from my computer. I am unable to play without it. To play I have to completely disable my antivirus. Because as soon as I enable it and start the game, it is removed and I have to download again for that single file. This is used with the ISO route. The MDS route does the same thing but with different files. Please fix this!

  8. Hello their. first I would like to thank admin for putting up a great game that I just really enjoyed, truly unforgettable characters.

The second thing is I have been searching for a game now for over a couple of years but I keep getting dead ends. I remember scrolling down and clicking on a link and coming across this game and its description was really interesting. This game was something about the protagonist having to go to a school for people who where either delinquents or couldn’t fit into society due to their issues. from what I got it was about living with said problems and how they end up dealing with it. What I remember most was the picture at the top of the page and it showed all the characters hanging out on the school’s stair case just chilling out. Please I really would like to find this Visual Novel because it looked like it had a really good story to it. Thank you

  9. PEOPLE!

if any you don’t know how to install the game or you’re getting that “algorithm error”:

All you need to do is install the game using Applocale

then, copy the patch file to the game install directory

and finally, run the game using Applocale.

    works fine in W7 (x64)

  10. Mh, to be honest, I’m quite disappointed.
This game’s nowhere near ‘The Devil on G-String’. Though it’s not the worst visual novel, I expected much more from Akabei Soft2. This is fairly average.

Anyway, thanks for the upload 🙂

  11. So all I see here are mostly technical comments, but most people don’t seem to write anything about the game itself. After reading G-senjou and A profile (both made by akabei soft2) I had high expectations about this game, and they were met… partially.
The technical stuff is very good imo, the musical background is nice, and dialogues are really really well written.
Anyway the characters are likable imo, though I kinda dislike tsundere girls in VNs, Touka was the best heroine for me, though both Sachi and Natsumi had their charm. The main character is the strong point in this story, probably one of the best protagonists in any VN I have read so far, so it’s a big plus for Kenichi.
The story itself got my feelings kinda mixed up. As someone who studies law and had to spend an entire semester learning about punishment theories and such the whole idea of obligations was ridiculous, but as the story goes on and more facts are revealed it became an interesting read.
The routes of the girls were ok, but the (good) ending of the first two was really predictable, and the chatarsic stuff was way too mushy for me. Seeing as it was made by akabei soft I was expecting a lot of plot twists, and I managed to predict most of them in second half of the game, which was a bit of a let down.
Anyways, in my opinion this VN is really worth the read, especially if it’s your first time to experince something that Looseboy has written, though do not expect it to be as good as G-senjou no Maou.

  12. Uhh, I encountered a bit of a problem. I was almost finished Touka’s rehabilitation when all of a sudden en error notice in Japanese popped up. The novel still works, but it just stays on the same screen with no textbox.

  13. I’m having issues with mounting the iso. I added it to DAEMON tools, but it won’t light up the mount option. This is the first time I’ve had trouble with mounting any of the games here, so its an isolated issue.

  14. Hey so I think I’ve come across a problem that hasn’t been mentioned thus far. I’ve completed the 1-9 step program and everything has gone well, and I’ve made sure to keep the ISO image mounted. However, after I run syarin.exe through Applocale the final time instead of the game starting I get an “information box” that pops up and says the name of the game and something in Japanese. Has anybody else encountered this and/or have a solution for this problem? Thanks in advance!

  15. Just wondering, I already have my computer set on Japanese locale, so I don’t believe I need AppLocale to run this.
However, when I try to run the .exe, it comes up with some random error where everything is in Japanese except for “DVD” and so, I’d like to know, any help? Please?

  16. Just finished one play through…
Just WOW, nothing else I can say.
I played and finished 90% of the games on this site and much more besides that but this one is just amazing.
Very similar to G Senjou no maou, but doesn’t come close.
    Just amazing.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to play such a game.

  17. does any1 else have a problem playing fullscreen?
I have the same issue with Utawarerumono, when I chose full screen, it just expands a black screen all over my monitor, and moves the picture to the corner, without changing the size
    any help please?

  18. I followed all the steps that the people here have posted but I keep getting this missing dll error, apparently the one it is missing is krdevui.dll how can I fix this

  19. This one is one of the toughest ones I installed.
    Here are the steps….

1)Download all the files and extract.
2)Mount the iso with any virtual image device(preferably one that’s compatible with your os)
3)Use applocale to run the installer.
    4)Install to your preferred drive.
5)Then copy the patch to your game directory.
6)Also you have to keep the iso mounted to play.

P.S: This is one of the more frightening and unique VN’s.
Well the did make G senjou maou so I guess it’s expected.

    1. Yes, retarded behavior … that gets explained by a plot twist.

It’s one of those things where you’re scratching your head the whole time, trying to figure out why in the hell people act as screwy as they do, and then …

Then you go “OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, holy shit! Now I get it!”

In other words, keep at the story, is my advice. It’s worth it. (And yes, the “retarded” stuff turned me off at first too)

    2. P.S. Here’s a hint: in the scene near the beginning, when Kenichi’s luggage bursts open in front of the class and there are a bunch of women’s clothing in there, undergarments and all?

There’s a reason for that, which has nothing to do with Kenichi being a pervert or retarded.

  20. I got every thing working properly.

until my system found a trojan in the files (syarin.exe)
    and then he delete everything

    and I became sad TT__TT

  21. wow reading the comments gives me new respect for the admins here, always helping out and such.
is there any way to support this site and the people who make it possible?

  22. Alright! So I’ve been getting the “3-box error” described by several others here. I’m just wondering if anyone has figured out a solution to this.

I’ve tried running it with Japanese locale and I put the English patch in the correct folder. I’m running on XP Home, if that makes a difference.

    1. I changed my system to Japanese locale instead of using AppLocale and that fixed the error. Unfortunately, the English patch hasn’t made anything English. I have it in the game folder, so I’m not sure if I’m just missing something here.

      Any help would be appreciated.

  23. Is there a .exe crack? I went to the TL site but found nothing. (Even though they say the crack is included)

  24. Yes yes, Sharin no Kuni is a masterpiece like it’s successor G-Senjou no Maou. But Kenichi is much more better than Kyousuke. Is there another Akabeisoft2 product which is good and available here?

  25. @ALL WIN7 USERS
If you’re having problems running the program (blue window/errors) you need to follow these steps (make sure the ISO is mounted before starting, just don’t install it):

    1) Download and install “AppLocale” (free aviable from Microsoft) but DON’T install it;
    2) Go to start menu and search “cmd.exe” DON’T PRESS ENTER then right click the icon and “Run as Administrator”;
    3) Now you can use cmd to install AppLocale, write the path to the installer (ex: “..Desktop\AppLoc.msi”) then press enter;
    4) In AppLocale click browse and select the file “setup.exe” which is inside the ISO you mounted before (in the virtual device);
    5) Click next untill AppLocale asks which language you want to use, select the very last in the list (日本) then click next again and run it;
    6) Just install it, everything should be fine (click always Next) and when it’s finished don’t run the program;
    7) – IMPORTANT – Open CMD again as administrator like before and run AppLocale (NOT .MSI) from the console (it should be in “C:\Windows\AppPatch\AppLoc.exe”);
    8) Click browse and select “syarin.exe” which is inside the installed game folder, then click next and select “日本” again;
    9) Have Fun!

Remember: from step 1 to step 9, the ISO must ALWAYS stay mounted, if it isn’t then you get “something something DVD something something” error.

And yes you’ve to always run the program from CMD and AppLocale every freaking time.. it’s boring but it works, just read again from step “7” if you don’t remember how to do it. To install the patch extract the archive in the game folder.

    -mike

    1. Damn error in the first like “download and install but DON’T install” so lame… obviously you must not install it, just follow the guide.

  26. i can´t get the patch to work and i already installed the game and placed the file (that was inside the patch) in the game directory….

  27. i cant seem to get part 6 and the English patch to download. i get the link and after the countdown and the captcha it goes to a webpage not found. 🙁 i really wanted to play this game too

  28. *REPOST*

    *FOR WINDOWS 7 USERS*

In case people are still having trouble. Proper steps to get this working from start to finish. ~Windows 7~

    1. Download all five parts, and the patch.
    2. Download Applocale
    3. Mount the .ISO using Daemon Tools, or whatever you prefer
    4. Run applocale in Administrator mode, then run the install file on the mounted CD using Japanese. INSTALL
    5. Move the patch.xp3 file to the main directory of the game
    6. Run the game in Applocale, use Administrator mode again with Applocale.

Can’t see how anyone can’t get it working with those steps. Hope it helps.

  29. Okay so I went nuts for an hour cause I was getting the same error as most others. Let me explain. I changed my locale to Japanese and installed the game. When I ran it without the the English patch the game started running fine which was a sign I did everything right till here.

Now the moment I put the patch in I started having the error “blah blah cur.cur blah blah” in Japanese and cur.cur was the only thing that I could understand. After reading here in the comments section somewhere I felt an alarm bell go off at the back of my head. Someone said “Click sharin.exe to start the game.” I was like “huh” I have yukuyu.exe not sharin.exe and then I realized the fvk up on my end.

I ended up downloading Sharin no Kuni, Yuukyuu no Shounenshoujo INSTEAD OF Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo which this is. I used a torrent to download and so ended up screwing things up by misinterpreting it >_<! Anywayz the reason you guys are getting cur.cur error is cause you are all using the wrong patch mentioned here. Please check the game you installed cause I am almost 99% sure you download the game from somewhere else and ended up like me looking for help here. No use asking help from here cause I am sure even the admin will be baffled since the patch works perfectly.

  30. I install this then the patch and run the game it gives me a window with a big red circle and an X on it and an ok button(nothing is written in the window). It also gives me another window full of code i cant play

  31. Ok I installed it, however whenever I play, it pops with 3 windows, they seem to be the actual engine, or something of the sort I’m not sure, there is a blue window with some programming language in it, and a blank window with nothing but a red x in it, anyone have a similar issue and find a fix?

  32. HEY. CAN SOMEBODY HELP US? we’re stuck with the three windows. and we can’t even play the game. anybody?? 🙁

  33. I can’t get the patch to work I extracted the file ok, then extracted the patch to the folder that appeared after but its still in japanese after I mount and install and play. Help.

  34. Sorry to bother you but I have the game mounted in DAEMON Tools and had the patch inside of the folder where the game is, but it’s just keeps the same old 5 characters the blue plate and error sign what do I do to get it work and do it in English?

    1. If anyone’s interested, other than Applocale, make sure you keep the ISO mounted. That should about solve it <_<

Not that it matters, this visual-novel is a piece of shit. The protagonist won't stop blowing his own asshole the entire time, it's like an 8 years old wrote a bloody Garry-stu fanfic with so much self-assertions and the most idiotic setting imaginable ("obligation" bullcrap), that I am more than surprised this shit received funding, and that anyone is actually recommending this abomination.

  35. I changed the locale to Japanese but it downloads the same thing before when I didn’t change the locale. Do I have to install another thing for it to work. Please help.

  36. WOUHOU!
After a bit of searching I finnally got it to work.
If anyone has a similar problem I’ll be gald to help.

    1. i have the same problem just like you but i dont know how to fix it anymore. can you tell me how yo fix this

  37. Do I need to change the locale to the japanese one for this game because I didn’t have to on all of my other games even though they said I had to. I’m asking because it’s the first time I encounter a problem while trying to run a VN.

P.S. the other ones were Devil on G string(G – Senjou No Maou), Heartwork, Bazooka Cafe, Katawa Shoujo and Soul Link. Also I’m running Win 7 Professional if that helps.
    Thanks.

      1. Well this doesn’t work. I mounted the ISO with Daemon tools, ran the setup, installed it, extracted the patch.xp3 file and copied it into the directory that includes the aplication and the uninstall application(I’m pretty sure this is were I’m supposed to put it) then I start the game and it gives a small window(titled Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Sho…) with a big red circle with an X on it with an ok button, another window with a blue background and writing I can’t even begin to understand(something about the click function and click waiting) but even then there’s like a couple hundred other lines of other stuff. I’m no expert but I think it might be tha games coding(just a hunch).

Seriously I really liked G Senjou so I want to play this. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks.

      2. G Senjou works fine but when I install this then the patch and run the game it gives me a window with a big red circle and an X on it and an ok button(nothing is written in the window). It also gives me another window full of code(I’m no expert but I think it’s the games coding). Almost forgot it also gives me yet another window that has five buttons: 3 of the look like paper pages with different blue emblems on each. ex: arrow, a + and – on top of each other and two ~ also on top of each other. The last two are yellow arrows pointing in different directions and the last one is a red circle with an x on it which closes the window. None of the buttons appear to do anything.
I really want to play this so any help is very much appreciated.
        Thanks.

  38. Hey there, I downloaded part 6 three times already but it still says that the file is damaged when I try to extract the iso….can you re-upload it please??

  39. Grrrr. I tried to install this on many occasions, however when ever I mount the ISO onto DAEMON tools, it keeps saying the files are corrupted, please obtain a new copy of the program. Please help!

  40. for those of you having the weird blue box error when you try running the game. Uninstall it all and go to Control Panel > Regional and Language > Admin tab > and set all non unicode to Japanese. Restart and try installing again

  41. This Game was Absolutely Amazing, quite possibly the best VN i’ve played thus far it was very gripping, heartfelt, and had some pretty good morality packed in it as well. I can’t wait to play the sequel and the other games by this company, they have definetly won me over with Sharin no Kuni! if anyone hasn’t played this game yet and is reading this, what are you waiting for? You should be playing it already!

Thank you for the uploads admin as always it’s a great help

  42. I’m having an issue with the patching; the game’s fully installed and running, and I downloaded and extracted the patch zip from the Mediafire link, but the game still runs in only Japanese

Thank you for the download, in any case.

  44. Game stops responding after AB2 logo, it was installed properly (Japanese local) patch file is in folder no error window it just freezes after the ab2 logo

  45. Ive tried mounting both the .MDS file and the .ISO file but no matter how long I wait it wont run the setup.exe and if i do it manually it always stops responding. can someone help me with this problem please

  46. thanks for this recommend Admin! (from gsenjou no maou)

Would you recommend anything else possibly bittersweet / mystery?
I’ve been staring at Katahane for awhile, but haven’t been particularly interested in trying it out >_<!!

  47. i only get the error message with the blue window <.<

i want to play it <.< i playerd g-senjou no maou already too i want to PLAY IT!!!!

help pls (location is japanese and i always start it as adminstrator)

  48. I set system locale to japan after i read the comments, i uninstalled, i reinstalled to default directory even, with all checkboxes checked. I copy pasted the patch file into the game directory after this installation of the game finished. I ran game in administrator mode and i got that blue error screen thing.
Do i have to restart my pc for the locale to change, or am i doing something else wrong? this is my second time i install a japanese game of any kind, so i would appreciate any help – from the admin or the people nevertheless. -thank you in advance – Isi

  49. Hello Admin~

Uhm… when I download from fileserve, it always says that the link expired? Did something happen?

    Thanks Admin. 🙂

    1. Seems like temporary problem on fileserve. You can download other parts in meantime, until they fix it, or download part1 from filesonic instead.

  50. Hello, Admin-san!

There is no big problem, but I just wanted to know why if my PC does not recognize the English patch? I have it on the Japanese game, but as I said this is not a big problem. I wait your answer.

    Sayounara!

    1. After unpacking the patch you will get “patch.xp3” file. All you need to do is place it inside directory where you installed the game to.

      1. I know because I’ve done it first, they are still the fact is, that men’s under load after the patch I’m already beginning not to my Pc has recogni. I can not use it.

  51. Ummm. When ever I try to install the game, it keeps saying that the system files are corrupt and I should get a new version of the files. What do I do now?

  52. Thanks this was quite a good game, along with G-Senjou no Maou another game I recommend might be Kara no Shoujo if you like murder mystery games

    1. I’m removing this kind of bullshit. I’ve written many times that all uploads are checked, and if you get any kind of warnings like that that means you’re either using shitty AV or you’re getting false positives from it – either way send the .exe to them so that they can manually check it and update their databases.

  53. Err…basically I ran the setup with the patch.xp3 inside the game folder and I’m still getting the DVD error, problem is I don’t have an .iso to mount…help?

  54. What the hell is this? Why did the five-piece? I’ve downloaded the first part out of two. I just wanted you to spend the second, but now I can not because there is a possibility. Why was the case? What should I do? Therefore, thanks to a very, very>:(!

    1. Old, two-part upload had only fileserve links. I’m reuploading all games currently so that they have both fileserve and filesonic interchangeable mirrors. Sorry for the trouble.

  55. First off, thanks for the game admin, I really enjoyed it. It has a rather unique take on the criminal system. Pity about the censoring but still a great game.

  56. This game is awesome, thanks for it!
The ending is great exept for the censorship, but dont let that put you off!

  57. How to install:

    1) Run the game setup (setup.exe) of the mounted game with japanese locale
    2) copy the patch.xp3 into the game directory (there are also other *.xp3 files)
    3) run the game syarin.exe as administrator in japanese locale
    4) if you didn’t do step 3 in the correct way make sure everything game related is closed (every debug window) and try again

  58. I could use someones help with getting the game running! I followed all the steps untill i mount the iso. I SEE the iso but my computer does not reconize it! I cant mount it if my computer does not see it any ideas?

  59. Having encountered some error problems myself, it seems that the image needs to be always mounted on Deamon Tools, or it shuts the game down if not.

Having figured that out the hard way, is there some sort or NoDVD crack or something for this game? I don’t really like having this image mounted up all the time just to play it.

  60. Could someone tell me how to install this because it seems i get an error whenever i start it up after install.

  61. Just tried running this and got a virus warning for “generic21” trojan.
I’m sure it’s just a false positive but I just thought you should know.

  62. so who’s ending did you guys pick. i didn’t know who to pick and accidentally ended up with harem ending… lol

  63. http://i.imgur.com/kXNeG.png
This is what happens when I try to open it, what do I do?
This ONLY happens when I have the patch file inside, when it’s not there it runs perfectly fine.
I obviously need the patch so I don’t know what to do.

  64. What should i run in applocale ? the setup ? well its not working .. i read the other comment they say run the patch ? what patch please help me!!

    1. Btw which is japanese in applocale ? well i cant see any japanese language there ?! i think its one of the square`s ? but i tried all of`em but still doesnt work ? maybe the problem is the thing running in applocale is wrong ?! .. ~sorry if my english is bad~

  65. This is a 2nd game that doesn’t work to me , i mean it looks the same two windows are opened when starting with a empty error and nothing help.

  66. Running on vista i’ve never had to set the language I’m curious why this seems to affect other vista users

  67. i’m having some difficulty with the english patch, im able to play the game but its not being translated. i extracted the patch and placed it inside the game folder and im pretty sure i did everything else correctly. any idea whats wrong?

  68. Why is there only 2 Parts there and 1 Patch? I mean I’m getting error during extracting it. It errors during 98%? You said there’s 3 Parts, but why is there only 2 Parts on the description??

  69. Admin how is the translation of Sharin no Kuni, Yuukyuu no Shounenshoujo coming along? Will you post it when translation is fully finished? Cause i’ve only been able to find the game with english patch for Houzuki route….

    1. It’s been completed few days ago, but i’ve been too busy fixing removed files to post it. I’ll upload it today.

      1. Really? Could you upload the full english patch or give a link? (I already downloaded the jap game). I tried googling for it, but didn’t find anything useful.

  70. I have a problem … i instal the game , copy the patch play and everything is fine… but after i close a cpu and open it again and try to play again it gives me an eror on the black loading screen (I’ve already set the cpu to system locale japanese).

  71. Jeah i know, finished the first route now ( Sachi)… and damn, i’m really starting to like Akabeisoft as a dev for their awesome stories. This is a very very good eroge (although G senjou no Maou is still better though :p)

    1. This error says that game cannot load files from DVD. make sure game disc is mounted while you start the game.

  72. Quote:

“I know it’s been said here and there already, but for anyone who has trouble installing this game and is new to all this… I too just started and will give you some steps towards getting this game to work (without mocking you!)

    1. Download the 3 parts and the english patch, linked above.
    2. Download WinRAR and Daemon Tools (both are free and will cause your computer no problem; they are your friend)
    3. “Extract” both the english patch and part 1 of the game (will automatically work for all parts).
    4. (this step is more unique to this particular game) Go to control panel, clock/region/language, change country/region, and under “administravtice” you’ll be able to change the ‘locale’ of your computer. Change it to japanese… this will allow the japanese text to appear as, well, japanese and not nonsense. (this restarts the computer)
    5. Open daemon tools. Click to add an SCSI drive and then find/add the file “syarin.ISO” to it. Now you can go to your “computer” and find an imaginary CD drive on your computer that opens up the game install. (be patient.. its slow to start up AND all in japanese, but you can figure out what to click to install it.)
    6. Find the file “patch.xp3″ that you extracted from the english patch. Copy. Now find the location of your newly installed game, wherever you chose to save it, and paste the patch.xp3 right into the list of other program files found in the game’s main folder. NOW you’re set and ready. Enjoy!!

(note, your computer MUST be set to Japanese ‘locale’ in order for the game to work. No, this doesn’t turn your whole computer into japanese and leave you lost with a foreign computer. Just allows japanese text to appear properly, plus you can always change it back if you’d like.”

I did this, my applocale was already set to Japanese, copied patch.xp3 into the game directory, and when i launch the game this happens: http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff99/Cedric5859/Game/fefg.jpg

Afterwards, when i press OK, the game shuts down. I tried it both on Win 7 (32/64 bit).

        1. I had the same prob, you just need to keep the image mounted on DAEMON Tools or whatever program you used.

          1. If you liked this one then you should definetely check out “Devil on a G-string”/”G-senjou no maou” ( available for download on this site) which was made by the same company and got kinda similar plot.

  73. admin
can you upload the sequel or prequel maybe?
with the title sharin no kuni yukyuu shounen shouju

  74. hotfile keeps asking me for a login and pass but nowhere on this website do I find any info on that. what am I supposed to fill in there?

  75. @Admin I would very happy if you would upload “Sharin no Kuni, Yuukyuu no Shounenshoujo” the sequel of this VN on this site.

      1. That’s too bad. I heard they only translated Houzuki’s route. Do you know anyone who can or might translate this game?

        1. Actualy it’s almost translated. All of Sachi’s, Natsumi’s and Ririko”s scripts are already translated, 4 of 13 Touka scripts have been translated so far.

  76. @Admin, do you thing you could give me a VN suggestion like this?
P.S Ive already played G-Senjou-No-Maou(loved it) any VN would be fine

  77. so is the patch in the links section at 100%??? i cant play something incomplete it will make me go crazy 🙁

  78. The installer Setup doesn’t seem to run. I have mounted the ISO with Daemon Tools and attempt to run the setup. It asked me if I want to allow it to run and I say yes, but nothing happens after that. I’m using Windows 7, and yes I have it set to Japanese unicode setting. Not really sure what the problem is.

    1. Never mind. After doing I other stuff for a while I returned to my computer to find that the setup was open. I guess it just took some time?

  79. I know it’s been said here and there already, but for anyone who has trouble installing this game and is new to all this… I too just started and will give you some steps towards getting this game to work (without mocking you!)

    6. Find the file “patch.xp3” that you extracted from the english patch.

Just allows japanese text to appear properly, plus you can always change it back if you’d like.

    1. Well when I click your name strange things happen. Explain that one, buddy =O

Seriously though, I just noticed a couple people on this page have links in their names that seem to go nowhere. Whatsup?

  80. It’s a Very good game,i can say it’s the better Vn i played.

I had the problem of the slow instalation, the daemon tool take some time to open the setup, but in 10 mins the setup run.

Now i will try the g senjou no maou, let’s see if is good as Sharin 😛

  81. I also have a problem.
    I even re-downloaded from somewhere else ….
I mount the iso with Daemon Tools and then, nothing happens, just my computers which lags a lot.
    I’m on vista.

    1. I experienced the same problem and I just left it on and waited. After a good 30 or so mins, the setup started loading for me and everything went smoothly after that

  82. I’ve got a problem with this one, i’m on Vista , i mount the Iso on Daemon but it said that my device is not ready but i did the same with other Vn, and i’ve never encouter this problem, got an idea ?

Anyway , great site you have here, keep up the good work

  83. This is an awesome game…like all akabeisoft2 games…too bad only 2 full game and 1 fan disc have been translated to english =(

Is there any plans to get the fandisc for sharin no kuni himawari no shoujo uploaded on this site? The english patch for that game is done and available from TLwiki, same guys who published the english patch for this game. It would be awesome if the fandisc was also available since I’ve read it is an epilogue for this game

  84. I followed the instructions outlined by several kind people here and am still unable to get the game to work. Everytime I try to run the sharin.exe file that I moved to the mainfolder I get an error mostly comprised of japanese with ‘krdevui.dll’ being the only thing I can make out. Anyone have a solution?

  85. 1. set locale to japanese*
    2. mount iso
    3. install game
    4. copy the content of the patch folder into the main folder of the game
    5. start sharin.exe

    *
1.Start button –> Control Panel –> Clock, Language, and Region –> Regional and Language Options.
2.Administrative tab –> Language for non-Unicode programs (System Locale) –> Change system locale.
3.Select the language –> restart pc

      1. It’s completely harmless – only difference you’ll see is that “/” symbol in file paths will look like yen currency symbol. If you use some non-english applications they might display some characters incorrectly, but you can always change your locale back once you’re done playing.

        1. ok thanks 4 that one, but do i need a disk or something to turn it to jap locale? like on XP or windows 7??

  86. may i ask something? when i tried to play it, a blue screen appeared with lots of program language in it and it won’t play? and i still confused with this japanese locale

  87. You mount the iso, you install the game, you put the content of the patch in the new created file. You play using the ‘sharin.exe’ application. But you have to set the locale of window to japanese beforehand.

Positively absolutely wonderful game, I loved it! Do you think you could upload the fandisck too?

  88. Can someone please post a step-by-step tutorial on how to run this. I don’t know how to work this properly. I’m using Vista.

    Thanks in advacance

  89. Okay guys from heeros difficulties and my own experience here is what you must do when installing on vista:

You must set your system locale (Found under region and language options in control panel) to Japanese BEFORE installing and leave it that way while you play.

  90. i just can’t extract it, and when i try to open the part 1 and part 2 its says need the cd. but when i try to extract the part 3 it says error. please help me admin T.T

  91. I have a problem here. i can play the game and already download the English patch but why its not translated ?

  92. Sorry this problem is fixed now, but unfortunately I have another error : with the strange signs again and location of the file. Sorry for all trouble to You but this cost me too much nerves so i will resign of this game. Thanx for help

  93. Yeah, thnx so much. AppLocale installed without a problem but now it shows me this error “Please make the application specific is valid”

    1. Did you run with under japanese locale? On vista it crashed for me, but once i started it with app locale it ran without problem.

  94. Just so you know, the Fandisk for this (Sharin no Kuni, Yuukyuu no Shounenshoujo) has also been partially translated. The Translation patch includes Houzuki’s Route but removes the other girl’s epilogues (seems there are no plans to translate those).
