Salthe

Salthe

“Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot.”

At the end of a journey of blood, despair, regret, and madness—
a stage perched on the razor’s edge dividing life and death.

With no audience to cheer, at a jester’s direction, Salthe performs her past.

To learn the reason for her death.
To return to the world of life.

Each scene is full of scorn and mockery,
she writhes and struggles, through to the end
of the tale of Salthe’s life—a comedy——

  1. Hey guys, has anyone else been having issues getting premium? I’ve looked online and I am getting nowhere. I’ve been with this site for a decent while and I haven’t had any issues, but the new layout is kinda wonky for me atm.

  2. tl;dr – 7/10.
The game is relatively short, major impact at the end(mostly via infodump). And also confusing, because if you came for the plot – it’s at the very end, most scenes are gangbangs or at least rape, and if you came for the rape – the game will distract you with decent plot.
Almost every single H-scene(or scene in general) is a gangrape, but the ending makes it exactly what promised to be – a comedy tool rather than something to be appalled by.
Peak irony – a small bunch of people from the company that made https://erogedownload.com/downloads/the-ditzy-demons-are-in-love-with-me/
    also made this meta-comedy.
Rare for a visual novel, but it has second playthrough potential due to the fact that most things that were confusing now aren’t.
Incredible visuals for something made literally on the side in free time.
First 40 minutes or so are initially confusing as fuck in my opinion, so be prepared.
While the game’s reveals are really good – 6 hours of atmosphere creation can get boring. Especially scenes have mostly nothing relevant to the plot. Also, lack of cast really shows(you’ll be able to tell the same voice actor between different characters, and it gets ridiculous when it’s a scene between two characters, both of which are voiced by the same person), but it’s basically a homecooked project, so I won’t bitch about it.
Life is all an act, and none of us get what they want from it. D:

  3. The synopsis and cover look beautiful but some of the tags look really off-putting to me. Can someone confirm this story is not mostly torture, gang rape, and gang bang?

If its just some optional content or one or two scenes among many, I’d consider still reading it for a good story, but if it’s primary content, then I’ma leave it alone since those things kill my erection insanely fast. I’ve been baited before (fuckin Lilith man) and now I’m super suspicious.

    1. I was worried about that myself, and there is a somewhat jarring scene (not a sex thing, just a torture thing) right at the beginning, but apparently there is a feature that tells you if your decision is going to lead to a bad ending. Which is good, I’m not big on torture and the like, myself, nor do I have much interest in a woman being gang raped constantly. Not my jam. But I think it’s still worth the risk, I keep hearing amazing reviews for it.

  4. So this is pretty much a variation of Joker.
    Description sums it up.
With no audience to cheer, at a jester’s(other word for joker) direction….
“Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot.”
Joker; “I used to think my life was a tragedy, but now I realize it’s a comedy.”
