As you might have noticed – following Megaupload closing down and owners arrest, whole filehosting business is in turmoil. Many filehosts companies are currently closing down and/or blocking USA users. Here are some news about how it’ll affect this site’s operation:
Fileserve:
Site banned my account and deleted all files (“Your account has been disabled due to violations of our Terms and Conditions.”), as a result I’ll no longer provide mirrors on this host.
Filesonic:
As a result of many uploaders moving to them, they are currently under heavy load. Some files cannot be download by free users (Download links leading to error page that says “You can not access this page directly. Please use the website to start your download or contact us in case of problem. If the problem persists, clear your cookies and try again”), as I cannot get a hold of any filesonic employee (Company is based in Hong-Kong, and Chinese new year break just started) to fix it, I’ll replace problematic links with fresh ones – if you’re getting this error on any file, just tell me in game comments or this post comments, and i’ll try to replace those links ASAP.

Admin, I strongly recommend you “NovaUp”, no captcha, no waiting time, treats you like a premium user, or you could use mediafire too.

How about adding torrents in addition to DDLs? Torrents are not usually removed easily so the files can stay for longer. The only issue could be the lack of seeds.

You should just name every rar file with a name that has nothing to do with the game an upload them on multi upload,

If you password protect the zip/rar files, their silly little content scanning won’t be able to do a thing.

Those 3 have that annoying error from filesonic that i know of at the moment.
If you looking toward .torrent files to use, I could suggest or find several places that you could use to upload the torrents to if you would like a bit of extra help.
Eventually you may end up having to go with torrents if SOPA actually passes or at the very least, use hosts that are outside of US influence and such.
Apparently no host is outside of US infulence. Megaupload and Filesonic were registered as Hong-Kong companies. Megaupload owner was arrested in New Zeland.
I agree with inter4ever, perhaps torrents could be an alternative? Hosting the files may be an issue, but Magnet links doesn’t use as much bandwidth

Torrents aren’t a good alternative, they “die” faster than any other host because people don’t share the file forever (obviously)
I think if SOPA doesn’t pass, the hosts will calm in in one or two months…the problem will be if the law pass =/

It’s not just the TEAM AMERICA WORLD POLICE causing this either, if you live elsewhere like EU you should get worried about something called “ACTA”, which is potentially more dangerous than SOPA+PIPA combined. It will be signed by the EU in a few days. (Please google for more info)
